🌊 One Last Little Piece of Summer
There’s something bittersweet about watching summer come to an end.
The long days at the beach.
Bare feet in the sand.
Sun-kissed skin.
Late evenings spent together.
And the beautiful chaos of having everyone you love under one roof, or in this case, along the shoreline. 🤍
This sweet family spent an evening in Galveston making the kind of memories I hope they hold onto for years to come.
Seven beautiful children, all dressed alike, each with their own little personality, surrounded by the love of Mom.
There was laughter, running, cuddles, little hands to hold, and plenty of those perfectly imperfect moments that make a family a family.
And as summer slowly slips away, I can't help but think about how quickly these seasons pass.
The little ones won't always be this little.
The matching outfits won't always fit.
And someday, getting everyone together like this may look very different.

The freedom of running barefoot on the beach.
The feeling of being little and completely safe in the middle of his parents' love.
That's why I love candid family photography so much.
I'm not just photographing a family.
I'm telling their story.
And one day, these ordinary little moments will be the ones they would give anything to have back. 🤍

To every family, couple, mama, senior, graduate, business owner, and sweet client who has trusted me with your memories this year, thank you. Truly!!

Every inquiry, booking, referral, kind message, tag, review, and share means more to me than you probably realize. You have supported not only my photography business, but also a dream that God placed so deeply on my heart.

Photography has always been about so much more than taking pretty pictures for me. It’s about preserving the people, the seasons, the little moments, and the love that we so easily wish we could hold onto forever.

Every summer in Galveston with Ally and her sweet family has become a little tradition I look forward to so much. 🤍
Before every session, we always touch base about her vision for their photos, and every time, she says something along the lines of, “I would just love for it to be as it is.”
Not overly posed.
Not overly perfect.
Just her babies exactly as they are in this season of life.
And that’s exactly what we do.
We let them run, laugh, play, snuggle, explore, and simply be themselves. And somewhere in between all of those little moments, we create photographs that tell their story.
This is one of the many reasons I love candid photography so much.
Because these aren't just pretty pictures.
They're memories captured as they really happened. The way they looked at each other. The way they played together. The little personalities that make them them.
One day, these children will be grown, and these photographs will take them right back to these sweet summer days in Galveston with their family.
And I think that's the most beautiful kind of photography there is. 🤍

There’s something so incredibly special about a mama who gets all of her babies together in one place and says, “I just want to remember this.” 🤍

After this session, this sweet mama and I had a little conversation, and I could feel just how deeply grateful she was to have her babies all together—to have these moments documented, to have these memories to hold onto.

And honestly… that gratitude stayed with me.

Because sometimes I think we forget just how big of a gift it is to have everyone we love in one place. The grown children. The little ones. The spouses. The chaos, the laughter, the personalities, all of it.

As a photographer, I get to capture the photos… but getting to witness the why behind them is the real gift.

There is truly nothing like watching a mama look around at her family and realize, “This is everything.” 🤍

These are the moments I’ll always be grateful to photograph.

Becoming a Mother
I became a mother
and discovered a love
I never knew existed.
A love in tiny hands,
sleepy eyes,
messy kisses,
and whispered prayers.
Motherhood has softened me,
strengthened me,
and brought me closer to God.
These little souls are not mine to keep,
but gifts He trusted me to love
for a little while.
And every day,
I thank God
for the beautiful privilege
of being their mama. 🤍

Generations together. 🤍
There is something incredibly special about photographing the people who came before us, the people beside us, and the little ones who will carry our family stories forward.
These aren't just photographs.
They're hugs from grandparents.
Little hands held tightly.
Laughter shared between cousins.
The people who prayed for us, raised us, love us, and continue to walk beside us.
A family is one of God's most beautiful designs, and I feel so honored when I get to preserve a little piece of that story.
