Getting ready together on your wedding day > getting ready separately. Fight me.

Every time a couple gets ready in the same space, the energy shifts. Less nervous waiting around, more inside jokes and board games and someone forgetting where they put their shoes. The photos always end up looser and more real because nobody’s performing for a camera in a quiet room by themselves.

Not saying separate is wrong. Just saying don’t let tradition or someone else’s opinion talk you out of something that might actually feel more like you.

A love letter to We’ve only met once, but I haven’t stopped thinking about you.
The exposed brick. The chandeliers. That rooftop where the sky just opens up over downtown Rockford like it was made for golden hour. You’re the kind of place that makes a photographer forget to breathe for a second.
The drama of you is the thing. The way light moves through that conservatory. The way old and new sit next to each other without trying. You don’t need to be decorated to be stunning. You just are.
I left that day knowing I needed to come back. Hopefully soon, with a couple who’s wildly in love and completely willing to let me wander your rooftop until the last bit of light disappears.
