I had so much fun with Mackenzie & Nick during their engagement session. I love that they wanted photos somewhere that means something to them. Those are always my favorite kinds of sessions.

Happy to be back at one of my favorite places for Amber & Josh’s engagement session. 🤍 She had her heart set on waiting until the hydrangeas were in full bloom, and I’d say it was absolutely worth the wait. Wouldn’t you?! These two are so much fun together, and I already know their wedding here next month is going to be such a beautiful day. I can’t wait!

I absolutely love that so many of my couples have been choosing places that mean something to them lately. 🤍 It makes every session so much more personal. And if that special place happens to be by the water… that’s just a bonus for me.

A little sneak peek from such a fun evening with these two! ☀️💛 We may have been melting in the heat, but it was so worth it. And let’s be honest… their sweet pup completely stole the show. 🐶 I already know their wedding day is going to be so much fun, and I can’t wait to be there to capture every minute of it!

The time has come and nominations are now open for Best of the Boot 2026!

For all you first-timers, here’s how this is going to work:

- Nominations will remain open through the end of July. Simply click on the link in the comments to type in your favorites.

- At the beginning of August, voting will begin.

- The August digital vote (we will share the link here) will be the ONLY vote and will be combined with the paper ballots that will appear in Wayne Week and are returned to our office by our subscribers.

- Finalists (the Top 3 in every category) will get their Best of the Boot Finalist stickers by early September.

- The winners will be revealed in our award-winning Best of the Boot magazine at the end of the year. Once we notify all of the finalists, we will begin curating the content for the magazine.

- Winners will receive a free poster to hang in their office, shop, home, etc. and copies of the magazine.

Note: A link to the digital version of the 2025 BOB magazine is currently on the right rail of the New Old North site homepage. Hard copies of that magazine are still available at our office on John Street and if, for whatever reason, you did not receive your finalist sticker or winner poster, we have those, too, so shoot us a DM or email [email protected] and we will get you covered.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to document love stories. 🤍

We met at a place that’s so special to these two, and I absolutely loved getting to capture this season of their lives somewhere that already holds so many memories.

I seriously cannot wait to celebrate with them on their wedding day next year at a BRAND NEW venue! 😍

I just realized that while yes, I shared a sneak from their announcement session, I never shared after they announced that their little blessing is going to be a BOY!! Being the first to know and put together their basket for them was so exciting!!
