Uvalde, Texas, unfortunately, is now isolated.

Almost all roads, if not all roads, have been completely cut off due to floodwaters.

If you know people in Uvalde, Texas, assure them that they will get through it first and foremost, as they are in shock. Tell them to reach the top level of their shelter until emergency personnel reach through to them. Contact local emergency services FOR THEIR COUNTY, and give them their addresses so that they are able to receive the services.

If you know anybody in Uvalde, get this out to them.

URGENT ALERT:

Those in Kerrville, Comfort, Center Point, Sisterdale, Bergheim, and everyone else along the Guadalupe River - a catastrophic, deadly flood wave, similar to that of last year, is likely at this point.

If you know anybody in this area, CALL THEM. TEXT THEM.

Immediately run away from the river now. If you're in immediate danger, seek higher ground. If you can't access your roof, take a solid, sharp object to cut your way up the roof from whichever top floor you are in.

This is a particularly dangerous situation. Again, a catastrophic tag has been issued. Do what you need to in order to protect you and your loved ones immediately.

Throwback Thursday:

On May 25, 2024, a devastating EF-3 tornado tore through Montague, Cooke, and Denton counties. Valley View was heavily impacted. Seven people unfortunately lost those lives. Over 200 structures were either severely damaged or destroyed.

We documented some of the damage the day after.
