2025 has been an amazing year, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

We hit milestones we never imagined. New records across the board, nearly 5,000 followers on LinkedIn, just shy of 200 Google reviews, and so many meaningful connections and partnerships along the way.

But numbers aside, the goal has always been simple.
To tell your authentic story, one smile at a time.

Everyone deserves to find their true smile and feel confident sharing it with the world.

So with deep gratitude, thank you for being part of this journey and supporting what we’re building.

First hike of the CISO Ascent retreat — Catawba Yesterday’s selfies were fun, but I’m even more excited to show some of the official photos.

Catawba Falls in , NC gave us fresh air, fall colors, and the kind of conversations you only have when you’re off the clock.

Leaders stepping away from their screens, taking a breath, and just being human. I loved the conversations and laughs shared, as well as the quiet moments where we all soaked in the nature.

The best part? We’re just getting started. More hikes and memories ahead with the CISO Ascent crew!

First hike of the retreat — Catawba Falls!

Not going to lie, I was huffing and puffing a bit when we started, but it didn’t take long to get lost in the fall colors and the crisp mountain air.

Between the views and conversations, it was a great reminder to step away from the constant rhythm our brains and bodies get used to. Sometimes you need that quiet to reset, find balance, and come back ready for what’s next.

Can’t wait for the next hikes this afternoon and tomorrow. This crew makes it a blast!

At Dallas Love Field, waiting to board my flight to Asheville, NC for  Fall Appalachian Retreat.

Excited to spend time with an incredible group of CISOs and leaders and to build real connections through shared experiences and honest conversations.

And on a personal note, I’m looking forward to being back in the mountains. There’s something about the quiet, the air, and the stillness that always gives me space to slow down, breathe, and reflect.

A genuine smile doesn’t start with your mouth.
It starts with your mind.

Too often, people are told, “Just smile!” during a headshot session.
But that’s usually when the “deer in the headlights” look shows up.

Your mind isn’t ready yet. 😬

Most people walk into a photoshoot thinking, “I have to look good.”
But that thought triggers self-consciousness. ❌
It tightens your expression, and suddenly your smile feels forced.

Here’s the shift:
Replace “I have to look good” with “I’m genuinely interested in connecting with you.”

That tiny change flips a switch.
You stop performing for the camera and start sharing energy with the person behind it.
Your eyes light up. Your face relaxes. The real you shows up. 👏🏻

And this is where the right photographer matters.
Someone who helps you feel at ease, creates space to breathe, and guides you toward the right mindset.

Because the best photos aren’t performed.

The lights, the pace, the energy — it all hits different. Excited to kick off my NYC Headshots Pop-Up this weekend and work with some incredible leaders, founders, and professionals who refuse to blend in. 🔥

Every pop-up feels like a new chapter with new faces and new opportunities for me to capture confidence in its purest form.

Ever worry about that wrinkle in your headshot? Or the extra pounds you wish weren’t there?

You’re not the only one. I hear it all the time.

Here’s the truth: over-retouching doesn’t make you look better. It makes you look less like you.

My current headshot? Taken this year, about 15 pounds over my “ideal” weight. And yeah, it bugs me sometimes. But it’s real. If I used my old headshot, I’d basically be catfishing you 🤣
Authenticity builds trust instantly. Wrinkles, gray hair, smile lines—those are proof of your story.

So here’s my message:
Confidently be you.

Your headshot should show the person people are meeting today, not the person you used to be. Because the photo that looks like you is always more powerful than the one that doesn’t.
