City weddings in the summer are so incredibly underrated šŸŒ†

Thereā€™s something quiet about Providence in the summer. All the college kids have gone home. Tourists are flocking to the coast. And that extra hit of sunshine makes everyone who is still around so much happier.

So if youā€™re considering getting married in the summer in New England, consider looking to Providence instead of Newport for a more low key wedding vibe. āœŒšŸ»

What do these photos all have in common (besides being the weddings and elopements of some dope Rhode Tripper couples)?

Theyā€™re ALL q***r couples at their q***r ass weddings! It can be easy to look at a WLW or MLM presenting relationship and be like ā€œthatā€™s a q***r weddingā€, but as a bisexual woman in a straight presenting relationship myself, I want you to know that your q***rness is valid and affirmed here no matter who you choose to love or how others perceive you. Your wedding is q***r because youā€™re q***r! Your relationship is q***r because youā€™re q***r!

And all forms of q***r love deserve to be celebrated as such!

šŸš« NO AI WAS USED IN THE CREATION OF THIS POST šŸš«

Is it just me or do you feel like youā€™re losing trust in what youā€™re seeing on the internet even more than usual these days. AI slop is running fu***ng rampant, and Iā€™m sick of it!

Iā€™ve been shooting film for a while now, but it feels even more important and rebellious to use film right now where people could easily generate a fake wedding photo using AI.

Film is the most tangible, truthful, nostalgic and authentically artistic medium we have as photographers these days. Itā€™s very unforgiving if you mess it up, but itā€™s also BEYOND stunning and true to life. Iā€™ve tried to replicate it on my digitals, but itā€™s just not the same.

And that feels so important and necessary. To have an honest, colorful moment captured with a certain depth that AI and even digital lacks.

And this is why we will continue to always include our signature hybrid method in our wedding and elopement coverage.

We get it - digital is more forgiving and predictable, but itā€™s that perfect imperfection that makes film some of our favorite snaps in your galleries.

In case you thought weā€™re just full of sh*tā€¦ hereā€™s little proof that we love film so much that we actually exclusively bring our film cameras on vacations now to capture our favorite moments. šŸ’—

May absolutely POPPED OFF this year, and I can see why. Itā€™s quickly becoming one of the best months to get hitched in New England. Mild temperatures, trees and flowers are in bloom, and people havenā€™t started going away on summer vacations just yet, but college kids have started graduating and moving out of the cities.

Take a little peek at Elizabeth and Mikeā€™s micro wedding from just a few weeks ago in Somerville. I hope it inspires you to think about choosing May for your own wedding! Weā€™ve already started to see inquiries roll in for May 2027 so if youā€™re thinking of booking, Iā€™d recommend reaching out to your vendors soon!

Rather spend most of your wedding day with your guests but still want fun couple photos to celebrate? Thatā€™s why Abbie and Chad booked an engagement session and used it as more of a ā€œpre-weddingā€ photo sesh just 3 weeks before their wedding day!

They dressed up in their wedding day attire and took us on a little tour of some of their favorite spots in the neighborhood (though we already know it well, it was fun to see it through their eyes!).

Definitely down to do more of these in the future! We had a great time, and they were able to rush print some of these to display at their wedding too, which was such a fun surprise!
