Every winter, after months away from weddings, I wonder if I’ve lost my creative spark.

I meditate. I revisit photo books. I try to protect the quiet space where creativity lives.

But the truth is, none of those things bring me back.

The couples do.

Their connection will always unlock something in me.

To every couple who has unknowingly reignited that spark in me—thank you. You don’t just trust me to tell your story. You remind me why I keep telling stories at all.

I remember I started journaling when I was 8 years old. I wanted to write down everything that made me happy, sad, angry, or curious about the world around me.

So this trip back to China — back to my hometown — felt too special not to document.

With images and words, I tried to hold onto the small moments, the feelings, the memories. Because they are part of me now and part of history too. This is my love letter to China.
