Aspen Acres Fire as seen from the back gate as the sun began to set. Zoomed in a bit, and the flames came into view. Just over 20 miles away. Ash has been falling from the sky. Just like all our neighbors, we’re watching this thing very closely.

Delivery day for Tami!

Tami Wozny is a realtor and writer. She needed a headshot for her business and for her new book, which she hopes to publish. We decided to shoot at her and her husband’s beautiful adobe home in Pueblo West. Of the keepers I sent Tami, this is the one that nailed it for her. Probably has something to do with the tips I learned from Samantha Hardcastle Photography (Pueblo & Colorado Springs Senior, Family & Headshot Photographer).

🧡 Our hearts go out to our friends in Beulah, Rye, and the entire southwest region of Pueblo County. Incredible to hear reporting about the community stepping up with donations for evacuees and firefighters.

Galveston, Texas, 1972. Granddad took Grandmom and Uncle John out for a picnic lunch. They were divorced but, they always rendezvoused throughout the years. Granddad was a hobbyist photographer who loved taking portraits and painting them. He had a good eye. Uncle John was still in high school. So was my mother, though she’s not pictured in this set because at this time she and my father had already hooked up and it was adios to the southern border…
