This session did NOT go exactly as planned… and I think that's what made it so much fun! 😂

Lindsey's senior session was originally supposed to take place at a beautiful sunflower field. But after all the heavy rain we've had, most of the sunflowers were taken out. 😭🌻 So, we had to pivot at the last minute and come up with a new plan.

And honestly? I think Plan B turned out pretty awesome. ❤️

Buhl Park offered plenty of beautiful spots with greenery, gorgeous light, wildflowers and even a little waterfall… and then, just as we were wrapping up, we realized the Buhl Day Parade was ending.

So obviously… we had to use what was right in front of us! 😂

A school bus became a senior session prop, and then we got the opportunity to use a police cruiser for a few photos. And because you never know unless you ask, we asked Police Chief Adam Piccirillo if he'd be willing to jump into a photo with Lindsey.

He said YES! 🙌🏼

I absolutely LOVE when a session doesn't go according to plan. Sometimes you have to pivot, look around, and make something beautiful out of what's right in front of you.

And Lindsey? You rolled with every bit of it and absolutely rocked it. 💙

Sunflowers or no sunflowers, we ended up with a senior session that was completely YOU — beautiful, fun, unexpected, and definitely one I hope you are always going to remember. 🥰

Sometimes Plan B is even better than Plan A. ✨

My daughter returned to school this week. The day before her official first day, students were warmly welcomed to the school to meet the teachers. We made a detour to visit W***y, a delightful little furry friend who holds a special place at the school. If you’re having a “ruff” day or need a calming presence, W***y is always there to lend a paw.

I’ve known Connor for a long time—back when he was just the kid who lived down the road. I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow up over the years, and it’s honestly a little hard to believe that the little boy I remember is now this handsome young man!

And what makes me even more proud than seeing how much he’s grown is the person he has become. Connor is kind, respectful, well-mannered, and just an all-around genuinely good young man.

I loved getting to spend some time with him for his senior pictures and capture a little bit of who he is right now—including his love of music, drums and guitar.

Connor, I hope you know how many people are cheering you on as you head into this next chapter. I’m so excited to see where life takes you!

We snuck out of town this weekend for a quick getaway for my husband's 50th birthday! We packed in a whole lot of fun! Combine birthday fun with a last hoorah before the little gal heads back to school this week, was just what we needed. Some good old fashion family fun, relaxing and lots of fun.

I first had the opportunity to photograph this young man while helping with Wilmington High School’s production of Cinderella, where he was part of the stage crew. So I was especially excited when he reached out to me for his senior portraits!

We had such a beautiful evening for his session—and even managed to find a four-leaf clover along the way! 🍀 I think that’s a pretty good sign for the year ahead. 😉

Julian, I hope that little bit of luck follows you throughout your senior year and into whatever comes next! Wishing you an amazing year filled with great memories, new adventures, and lots of reasons to smile. 🎓

Man oh man did I have a great time with Julian and his sweet mama last night at the gorgeous Willowbrook Wedding Barn! Thanks to the folks at Willowbrook for letting us use their property to capture Julian's senior session. Stay tuned! I can't wait to share some sneak peeks!
