What does the fox say? 🦊 The foxes & their pups vocalize a lot in front of my trail cameras. There are several different vocalizations: gekker, calls, barks, and, of course, the vixen screams. The vixen screams sound scary 🫣 Have you heard any of these sounds?

Mom fox catches a little bit of everything for her 7 fox pups. Most of the prey this week were fish 🐠 Anyone know what kind of fish she caught?

Mom red fox catches lots of rodents for her 7 fox pups the first few days of May. Every 2 hours she arrives at the den with a rabbit, mouse, mole or vole. Then she helps them wash down their meal with a glass of milk 😂 She is excellent at natural rodent control 🦊 🐭 🐰 🦊

Happy Mother’s Day to Mom Fox 🦊
A few clip of mom red fox’s grocery shopping for her pups in the spring. It’s amazing that amount and variety of prey she catches! Canada goose, muskrat, chipmunks, gulls, squirrels, rabbits, fish, chickens & small rodents like voles, moles & mice. At the end, you can hear how the fox puppies say thanks to their mom 🦊 ❤️

She catches pickerel, pike and catfish over 5 days in early May for her pups. Their fox den is a 5 minute walk from Lake Ontario, so there is lots of fish for her pups 🐟 🦊 The pups love fish and gekker & fight over them 😂

Playtime at the red fox den & even mom fox joins in for a bit. The pups are 2 months old here and practicing their pouncing. One keeps flinging parts of the rabbit from the last video and then pouncing on it 😂 🦊 😊
