My photographic style is laidback and tends toward "lifestyle." This means that my images focus on connection, emotion, and interactions between family members or a couple. I love to capture the innocence of childhood - playing in the dirt, jumping in puddles, running barefoot, or pouting on dad's shoulder.

🍂 FALL FAMILY SESSIONS 🍂

Am I a little late posting these? Yes. 😂 But what’s new?

This year I’m keeping fall sessions simple—no props, no elaborate setup. Just your family, some pretty fall light, and all the snuggles, laughs, and real moments in between. ❤️

It’s amazing to me how two engagement sessions shot at the same location, using a lot of the same poses and prompts, can still look so different!

Every couple has a different way they relax into each other’s arms. They laugh at different things. They interact differently. Some are silly, some are quiet, some can’t stop laughing, and some just naturally fall into those sweet little in-between moments.

I can put two couples in the exact same spot and give them the exact same prompt, and what I get back is never exactly the same.

Because every couple has a different story to tell. ❤️

This is the type of engagement session I go home happy about. 🥹❤️

Because I know that every image on the back of my camera looks like this. Their smiles look like this. Their connection looks like this.

My #1 goal at every session is to capture the authentic you. Your real smiles. Your real connection. The way you actually look at each other.

Yes, I’m probably going to tell you how to stand, where to look, and what to do with your hands 😂 But there is absolutely no way to fake the way your eyes light up when you’re genuinely having fun with the person you love. And THAT is what I want to capture, because that’s how the world sees you. ❤️

That’s also why I spend so much of our session getting to know you and making you comfortable. I shoot fast, so I’m not standing there worrying about whether I have enough images. I’m much more interested in getting you to forget about the camera, forget about the things you’re insecure about, and just enjoy our time together.

Because the body language, the little laughs, the way you naturally lean into each other, and that sparkle behind your eyes when you’re relaxed and having a good time…THAT can’t be faked in front of a camera. ✨

Now, I have to admit, Jada and Eric made my job pretty easy. 😂 I’m pretty sure he looks at her like this every single time, and I’m equally sure she lights up every single time he does. 🥹

I have to admit I’m a little nervous for Olivia and Kirk’s wedding day…because how are we supposed to top this engagement session?! 😍😍😍

Would you believe me if I told you we did this entire session in 23 minutes?! 🤯

Getting a large family together for photos is no easy task, so we decided to take the chance of rain instead of rescheduling. Unfortunately, it started pouring as soon as I got there! So we made a game plan while we huddled under the gazebo so that once the rain broke we could get to work.

Somehow we managed to get everything on our list before the downpour started again, and I needed an umbrella es**rt to my car! Thanks for the adventure, Muth Family!

I will never be the photographer with the most bookings. Or the one with the most followers. But I’m okay with that.

Because I don’t want our session to be a transaction. I want it to be an experience.

I want your kids to have fun. I want to get to know you. I want your expressions to be authentic. I want you to feel yourself with me instead of performing for a camera. I want to analyze your micro expressions between each image and pick the frame that speaks the loudest. I want to hand edit that little spark into your photos. I want to be Facebook friends so I can tag you and read all the comments where your loved ones tell you you look fantastic. I want to see the photos you post of your children in between our sessions, and watch your family grow.

And if that means that I’m limited to a couple sessions a week in order to keep up, and I don’t have time to make the social media content to make me popular, so be it. I’d rather actually connect with my clients and provide a true service than be the busiest. Being like everyone else is over rated anyway. 😉

Can we just take a minute for this LIGHT?! 😍 We could not have asked for a more perfect evening for the Weeter family’s session! They picked the most perfect little spot on their farm, and between the weather, the timing, and that gorgeous golden glow, it was basically photographer heaven.

I absolutely love getting to capture families like this—the laughter, the snuggles, the little in-between moments that tell their story. These are the memories that become part of a family’s legacy, and I’m so happy with everything we captured together. ✨

Little Odin was the most perfect squishy little model for me! 🥹 His new mommy and daddy are proud as can be, and for good reason—he is one handsome little man!

Those sweet photos of him on the bed with his little bum up absolutely melt me every single time. 😍 And I am seriously loving my new white room setup! It’s so nice having this option available year-round for newborn sessions, maternity and milestone sessions, and whatever other fun ideas we come up with in the studio.

Congratulations, Heather and Chuck! ❤️ Your little guy is such a sweetheart, and it was an honor to capture these first memories for your family.
