Theia turned 12 on September 23rd! She's still the wild puppy she's always been. Her spondyliosis has progressed and she's had some painful days, but overall she is a vibrant senior! A couple nights ago, she kept me up insisting I scratch all her itches and accompany her whenever she wanted to go downstairs for a drink of water. She's retired from competing now, but I think she's okay with that. We are really enjoying exploring the woods and swimming without any long drives.

I'm truckin' along on the PBDTA Rally photos, making sure they are perfect for your instant downloads. I've been working around Jake being home a whole week to hunt together and hosting out of town friends for their first time duck hunting. I shot my first Green Wing Teal and took hundreds of photos from the blind that I'm excited to get to when I finish Rally.

So that's my short update on where I am. Looking forward, I will be shooting win and ringsides at the Northstar Labrador Retriever Club Specialty Show on November 17th at Animal Inn Training in Lake Elmo, MN.

Summer flew by way too fast, but I was able to make it out to train with the Northwoods NAVHDA chapter a few nights before it ended.

I wish everyone a wonderful hunting season! We've found some ruffed grouse, and shot a few ducks so far. The trees are almost peak color and the temperatures have been very comfortable. Can't beat fall in Northern Minnesota!

28mph wind gusts through the pavilion creating a wind tunnel effect was brutal, but it was all worth it to watch some incredible teams work. This fella pulled an insane amount and made it look easy every time.
