Made it to College Station. 📸🥎

After a full day aboard the Heartland Flyer and then a bus from Fort Worth, I’m finally checked in and ready for one of the biggest opportunities of my photography journey.

Tomorrow begins with the 2026 AUSL Play-In Game at Davis Diamond. Friday includes a Utah Talons media availability and photographing arrivals for the AUSL Awards reception, followed by the Championship Series beginning Saturday and potentially continuing through Monday.

I fought hard to make this trip happen, but I’m still stretched thin after extending my camera rental, arranging travel and lodging, and handling everything required to be here. I still need help with meals, local transportation and the remaining expenses necessary to finish this week strong.

I’m credentialed for the entire postseason, I’m here on the ground, and I’m ready to make the most of every opportunity in front of me. Any contribution helps take some of the pressure off and allows me to stay focused on creating the best work possible throughout the week.

Made it to Fort Worth, and I’m officially on the final leg of the trip to College Station.

I started this morning aboard the Heartland Flyer out of Purcell, and now I’m on the bus for the last stretch of the journey.

Tomorrow, the 2026 AUSL postseason begins at Davis Diamond with the play-in game, followed by the Championship Series this weekend. I’m credentialed for the entire run and excited to photograph one of the biggest events I’ve worked this year.

Last fall, I photographed two games at Wolf Field in Davis — Beggs in Week 5 and Holdenville in Week 9. During one of those nights, I remember hearing the northbound Heartland Flyer pass by while the game was going on.

This morning, I was riding the Heartland Flyer south toward Fort Worth to catch my bus to College Station when Wolf Field appeared outside my window.

A small moment, but a pretty cool connection between where I’ve been and where this photography journey is taking me next. 🚆📸

I leave for College Station tomorrow, and I could still use one final push of support. 📸

This season has taken me through long train and bus rides, late nights editing, Chicago, Portland, and countless hours spent trying to keep this photography journey moving forward even when the financial side has been difficult.

Now, that work has opened another door.

I have officially been approved to photograph the AUSL Play-In Game and Championship Series in College Station. My credential is secured, my Canon R7 extension is handled, and lodging is booked through the possible Monday if-necessary game.

The major pieces are in place, but I still need enough cushion for rides around College Station, hot meals during the trip, and a safe journey home once the series ends.

If you have been following this journey and would like to help me take this final step, any contribution tonight would mean a great deal. Even a small amount can help with a ride, a meal, or part of the trip home.

I have worked incredibly hard to reach this opportunity, and every person who has supported me has helped carry this journey farther than I could have taken it alone. Thank you for believing in the work and helping me finish the AUSL season safely. 📸

This morning, I received the confirmation I had been waiting for:

I have officially been approved to photograph the AUSL Play-In Game and Championship Series in College Station. 📸

After traveling to Chicago and Portland earlier this season, I now have the opportunity to carry this project all the way through the AUSL Championship.

This trip is much more manageable than those previous journeys. I have found a workable train-and-bus route, and I believe I can make it happen. What I need now is enough financial cushion to book everything responsibly without immediately draining what little stability I have rebuilt.

My Canon R7 rental extension is also due in three days. That camera is what has kept this work moving, and keeping it in my hands remains the first immediate priority as I finalize transportation, lodging, local rides and the other costs connected to College Station.

The support that has already come in has put me in a much stronger position than I was before, and I am deeply grateful. I am not starting from nothing—but I still need momentum now to secure the camera, complete the travel plans and leave room for unexpected expenses along the way.

Chicago and Portland showed what I can create when people help me reach the opportunity. College Station is now officially in front of me, and this time the path is considerably more attainable.

If you are able and would like to help me finish the AUSL season at the championship, any contribution or share would mean a great deal.

I need people who believe in my work to stand behind it today.

Chicago and Portland gave me some of the strongest professional softball work of my career. I photographed games in new cities, produced thousands of images, strengthened my portfolio and built relationships throughout the AUSL.

Those trips also practically depleted everything I had left.

My savings are gone, paid photography work has been painfully slow and my own camera is still away. Because of disability-related restrictions, I cannot simply take a conventional job to replace that missing income. Photography is the work I have built around those limitations, and the rented Canon R7 is currently the camera keeping it alive.

My most immediate deadline is July 24. I need $180 to keep the R7 through August 7, but my full $600 goal is about more than one camera payment. It is about recovering from Chicago and Portland, pulling myself out of the red and rebuilding enough stability to keep reaching the opportunities directly ahead.

I am still waiting on a credential decision for the AUSL Championship in College Station. All-State Week follows immediately afterward, and then high school fast-pitch season begins.

I am also hoping to photograph the International Cup at Devon Park, but I need help finding the right person to contact about media credentials. Anyone connected with USA Softball, Devon Park or the event who can point me toward the proper media or communications contact would be helping me take an important next step.

These opportunities are arriving now—not months from now—and I no longer have the financial cushion to reach them alone.

I also want to explain why I am now directing support toward Ko-fi.

Ko-fi is a direct support platform for independent creators—closer to Patreon than a traditional one-time fundraiser. Instead of creating a new campaign every time another trip, season or equipment need arises, Ko-fi gives my photography one permanent home where I can share my work, provide updates and receive ongoing or one-time support.

Some people may not be familiar with Ko-fi yet, but it is now the main home for supporting my photography, and I hope to keep building the page long after this immediate need has passed.

If you are able and would like to support my work, a contribution through Ko-fi would mean a great deal right now. Every contribution helps me keep the camera in my hands through this next stretch and continue pursuing the opportunities ahead. Sharing this post or helping me connect with the right person for the International Cup is also deeply appreciated.

I need your support now more than ever.

Over the past several weeks, I have put nearly everything I had into photographing the AUSL season. I photographed the Spark throughout their home schedule, traveled to Chicago and Portland, produced thousands of images and built some of the strongest professional softball work of my career.

But the financial side has caught up with me.

My savings are still depleted, paid work has been extremely slow and I am currently in the red. My own camera was sent off several weeks ago, leaving the rented Canon R7 as the camera keeping my work moving.

The next deadline is immediate: I need approximately $180 by July 24 to extend the R7 through August 7.

That extension would keep the camera in my hands through a stretch that could include the AUSL Championship in College Station, pending credential approval, followed by All-State Week, the International Cup at Devon Park and the beginning of high school fast-pitch season.

This is not just about one trip or one camera payment. My regular monthly expenses are approaching again, and without enough cushion, I could be forced to step away from photographing games for the foreseeable future just as the next season begins.

I have now set up Ko-fi as a direct home for supporting my photography work. GoFundMe is built around individual campaigns, but what I do is ongoing. Ko-fi gives me one place to keep the work, updates and support connected—not only for this immediate push, but for the games, travel and opportunities that come next.

My current goal is $600. The first $180 secures the R7. Everything beyond that helps rebuild enough breathing room for transportation, lodging, food, monthly expenses and the unexpected costs that can stop this work when there is nothing left in reserve.

If you have followed my work, enjoyed the galleries, watched this AUSL season unfold through my photographs or believe this work should continue, I am asking you to support it today.

I cannot keep doing this without help, and right now every contribution matters.
