I couldn’t wait to share this little one from the Pryor Mountains in Montana with you all. Hopefully by the end of next week my website Timothyspencerphotography.com will be updated with photos from this amazing solo road trip I’ve been on since last Saturday. McCullough Peaks in Wyoming did not disappoint. I took so many unbelievable shots the past 3 days. Tomorrow I head up to the Pryor Mountains to photograph the mustangs up there.

Great day out on the range today. Got to spend it with the mustangs and 2 amazing individuals. Sandy Sisti of Wild at Heart Images-Wildlife and Nature Photography. She is also an author of a great handbook for the McCullough Peaks herd (the link for her book is in the comments). The other person is Heather Hellyer of Run Wild Images. She drove 6 1/2 hours to show me around. I’m forever grateful for these 2 women.

So……. I just took a solo 18hr 1220 mile road trip to the McCullough Peaks HMA near Cody, WY this weekend. I cannot wait to show you all the photos I take this week. Probably though the most exciting part of the trip is that I get to hang out with 2 amazing wild horse advocates / horse photographers for a couple of days this week. More on that later. In the mean time this is one I captured today.

When Denise and I were in Kentucky last week we got to meet some legends. Old Friends is a retirement home for older thoroughbred race horses. This place makes sure that these horses do not get tossed by the wayside after their competition days are over. If you are a horse lover and if you are ever in the Lexington, KY area this is a place to visit. The world needs more places like this. Old Friends is owned and run by people with the biggest hearts.
