If you’re like me the weekend went by way too fast. The good news is we were blessed with a nice sunrise this morning. You can still see the haze and smoke from the Canadian wildfires in the distance this morning as well. I did catch a few picture of the smokey sunset last night I’ll share later this week too.

When the clouds turn that orange, pinkish color you know the days off to a good start. This sunrise happened last week and I noticed I hadn’t shared this one yet. There’s almost nowhere I’d rather be during a sunrise or sunset than down by the river.

I’m feeling extremely thankful today to all of you, my followers. It’s amazing to me the reach of this page and how many people get to see the beauty of Quincy. Hazy, smokey skies have taken over the area this morning. I wasn’t able to get out and catch the pink sunrise this morning but this is a shot from my old page back in 2021 when smoke from fires in Colorado made the sunrise and sunsets look incredible! Hoping for a spectacular pink sunset tonight!

Most of my images are taken during sunrise or sunset however this one was taken early evening on a warm stroll on the trail. There are so many interesting, scenic parts on the trail that if you haven’t used it before, you should really consider it.

Photographic evidence proving I do NOT have my ducks in a row!

This scene was too good and I simply couldn't pass it up the other night. These ducks were slowly moving upstream while the sun set producing the perfect pastel colors. I sure do love the time I spend down on the river but this heat can calm down already!

As the sun was coming up I took this image of these wildflowers along the hillside on the trail. This is one of my favorite areas along the trail. It was a beautiful start to an amazing Friday! Get out there and have a great day everyone!!

🪞🟠🪞Mirror🪞🟠🪞

I used long exposure to turn the surface of the river into a mirror which reflected the beautiful glow of the sunset wonderfully. The rough river rocks really stand out against the smooth surface as the water rushed quickly around them. Fun little side note, my son and I even found a baby snake a few feet away resting on a rock. It eventually slid into the water and a little farther downstream, thankfully!
