Motherhood is such a beautiful beast 🕊️
I could write a novel on the highest highs and the lowest lows wrapped together into one sacred calling. It stretches you, humbles you, refines you, and somehow still leaves you overflowing with love you never knew was possible.
I’ve had the incredible privilege of carrying four pregnancies and bringing four beautiful, healthy babies into this world. Each pregnancy was healthy, joyful, and such a gift. But my last pregnancy also carried deep mental health struggles that brought me into one of the darkest places I’ve ever been.
And yet, even there, God met me.
What felt heavy and hopeless for months was redeemed in the most beautiful way through her birth. There was something so healing, so euphoric, so holy about finally holding her in my arms after everything it took to get there. A reminder that even in our hardest seasons, God is still writing something beautiful.
Motherhood ain’t easy—it’s often messy and exhausting and lonely. Sometimes it’s breathtaking and joy-filled all at once. But what a blessing it is to love and be loved by these little souls entrusted to us.
This week I’ve been thinking of every kind of mother and every woman carrying the ache or beauty of motherhood in her own way. Your story matters too 🤍
