Kirby is our resident long timer at ! 🥹

He’s got some things working against him like his age, Black Dog Syndrome, and his Heartworms.

But through all that, he is a true delight and full of a zest for life. 🍋

Playful, smart, and affectionate, Kirby is good with other female dogs he’s played with, fantastic on a leash, the perfect car rider, and loves to show off his tricks for treats.

I honestly have nothing but good things to say about him. 😊

Thankfully, he has a $600 sponsorship towards his Heartworm treatment from .

Nugget’s energy is exactly how I’m starting my Summer! 💃

Mr June is a Alum but was happy to represent rescue dogs everywhere by winning a spot in the 2026 Triangle Dog Of The Year Calendar.

According to his awesome humans, Nugget is one happy and energetic boy (if you can’t tell by this photo 😂).

“Nuggie” loves being the life of the party, is a true ladies’ man, and will literally play ball all day long. 🎾

His positive attitude, unconditional love, and loyalty bring us happiness and joy each and every day.

I hope Nuggie brings a smile to your face today as I know every time I look at this photo he definitely brings me joy. 🤩

I say it all the time, but we just don’t deserve dogs.

Challenge Number ✌🏻 of Emerge: Spaced Out with .ed is in the books! 🥰

This was my submission of puppy Border Collie, Kismet at using lots of negative space (hence the name of the challenge) and a unique crop of 16:9.

I’m super pleased with how the vision came to life even with Kismet rocking it at just ten months old.

Want to know a secret? To get this shot, we had the owner, Ash, throw sticks to the other side of the frame to get Kismet to look in the opposite direction creating a nicely balanced pose.

Don’t worry—Kismet was rewarded with lots of praise and the option to chew on said sticks safely. 😂

Dog Swimming Recs In + Around Raleigh 💦

My Tully girl LOVES to swim.

Truthfully, she decided on her own one day that she was part fish. 🐟 She casually waded into the water and started paddling her little heart out —anytime we are near a safe body of water, girl has get her paddling in. 🏊‍♀️

So, when that comes up in conversation, pet parents always ask me what my favorite spots for dog swimming around in and around Raleigh.

I get it. When that North Carolina heat and humidity kicks in, we all want a nice spot to cool off, pups included! 🐶
