Mother Strong Tail.
Mother Strong Tail is a 10-foot-tall,,, giant wooden troll sculpture created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo located at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, NC. Installed in late 2025 as part of a public art installation, she is famously known for her,, 645-foot-long tail, crafted from, repurposed bourbon barrels which is the only part of the sculpture that visitors are allowed to climb.
When you follow the tail through the forest the tip of her tail is held up by her son Dix at the forest edge.
The last picture is to put the size of these Trolls into perspective.

Nassau Harbour
Lighthouse, Bahamas
Nassau Harbour Lighthouse was built in the year 1817. Back in those days, Paradise Island was known as Hog Island and the lighthouse as Hog island lighthouse. This was the first lighthouse made in the Bahamas by Imperial lighthouse Service followed by the one at Abaco. It is the oldest lighthouse in the whole of Bahamas and believed to be the oldest in west Indies as well.
The lighthouse was operational for a long time and guided the cruise ships the approched the Nassau Port (i.e. Prince George Wharf) through the northwest entrance. The light at the lantern on top was replaced with an electric light. It emitted white light when conditions were normal, however it flashed a red light to alert ships of dangerous conditions.
But unfortunately, The Nassau Harbour Lighthouse has now fallen into disrepair... it is an abandoned lighthouse and there is hardly any maintenance done.

Florida Cotton mouth-Six mile cypress slough preserve-Fort Myers,FL
The Florida cottonmouth (Agkistrodon conanti) is a species of venomous snake, a pit viper in the subfamily Crotalinae of the family Viperidae. The species is endemic to the United States, where it occurs in southern Georgia and the Florida peninsula in nearly every type of wetlands in the region, including brackish water and offshore islands. However, it is not entirely dependent on water and is occasionally encountered as far as a mile (1.6 km.) from surface water. Agkistrodon conanti venom is very hemolytic and known to cause relatively extensive necrosis compared to many snake venoms, and can sometimes be lethal with a 17% mortality rate.[2]: 211 p. It is often confused with harmless watersnakes (Nerodia) and other semi-aquatic species with which it shares its habitat.

Six mile Cypress Slough Preserve

RANGE:
Coastal North and South Carolina, southward throughout peninsular Florida. Yellow rat snakes from the southern tip of their range tend to be more golden butter yellow overall and have lots of yellow highlights on the belly and under the chin, compared to the tannish, straw yellow-colored yellow rat snakes from central and northern Florida.

HABITAT:
Common in great river swamps of the south, it forages high into cypress and other trees. It also occurs in other habitats such as live-oak hammocks, cutover woods, fallow fields, and around barns and abandoned buildings.

The osprey, historically known as sea hawk, river hawk, and fish hawk, is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey with a cosmopolitan range. It is a large raptor, reaching more than 60 cm (24 in) in length and 180 cm (71 in) across the wings. It is brown on the upperparts and predominantly greyish on the head and underparts.
The osprey tolerates a wide variety of habitats, nesting in any location near a body of water providing an adequate food supply. It is found on all continents except Antarctica, although in South America it occurs only as a non-breeding migrant.
As its other common names suggest, the osprey's diet consists almost exclusively of fish. It possesses specialised physical characteristics and unique behaviour in hunting its prey. Because of its unique characteristics it is classified in its own taxonomic genus, Pandion, and family, Pandionidae.

The Burrowing Owl-Cape Coral, FL 4/25
The burrowing owl, also called the shoco, is a small, long-legged, primarily terrestrial—though not flightless—species of owl native to the open landscapes of North and South America. They are typically found in grasslands, rangelands, agricultural areas, deserts, or any other open, dry area with low vegetation. They nest and roost in burrows, and, despite their common name, do not often construct these dwellings themselves, rather repurposing disused burrows or tunnels previously excavated and inhabited by other species, such as American badgers, foxes, ground squirrels or prairie dogs, among others.
