A little reminder for the moms of big kids: you’re not done documenting them yet.
I know family photos can feel a little different once your kids are older.
They have opinions. They might not be thrilled about the idea. Someone will probably tell you they hate pictures. And getting everyone dressed and in the same place at the same time somehow feels harder than it did when they were toddlers.
But this season deserves to be remembered, too.
And I promise, I don’t need your teenager to show up excited about family photos. 😂
I’ll give them something to do. I’ll keep it moving. I’ll let them be themselves. And somewhere in between the eye rolls and the “are we done yet?” I’ll get this.
The real smiles. The sibling dynamic. The way they laugh together. The version of your family that exists right now.
Because one day, you’re going to miss this version of them just as much as you miss the little one.
