❤️‍🔥 100+ degrees outside, but absolutely nothing was going to stop Tabitha & Russell from celebrating their love. ❤️‍🔥

Their wedding day at Donovan Manor was filled with everything that makes a wedding unforgettable—genuine emotion, plenty of laughter, beautiful details, incredible people, and two best friends officially beginning the next chapter of their lives together.

From meeting in Charleston and hitting it off almost immediately, to building a life centered around love, adventure, family, friendship, and plenty of humor, Tabitha & Russell’s story is one of those that reminds you why I love being a Raleigh wedding videographer. Their vows spoke of traveling the world, making a home together, continuing to grow, and being each other’s greatest champion.

And a HUGE shoutout to the incredible wedding vendor team who kept everything moving beautifully throughout the day. These professionals made navigating a wedding day with temperatures pushing past 100° look effortless.

Special thanks to Macy with The Gathering Co. for making the call to move the ceremony indoors when the heat became just too much. It was absolutely the right decision—and it allowed everyone to relax, enjoy the moment, and be fully present for Tabitha & Russell’s vows.

🍽️ **LET THE WEDDING VENDORS EAT FIRST!! Spencer for President!! 😂**

When the groom is also a wedding vendor, he KNOWS.

This was a rare—and very appreciated—moment when Spencer recognized that the wedding vendors had been working hard all day and needed to eat too. And yes, the videographer was especially grateful. 😂

Here’s a wedding-planning tip couples don’t always think about:

**Feed your media team early enough that they can finish before the toasts, speeches, and other key moments begin.**

Your guests absolutely deserve to enjoy dinner, but your photographer and wedding videographer also need a chance to eat without worrying about missing the moments you hired them to capture.

Because nobody wants your wedding videographer choosing between a hot meal and the best man’s speech. 😅

Sometimes the most powerful stories are the simplest ones.
For Kaitlyn & Harley's teaser, I wanted to let their heartfelt letters to each other do the talking. Rather than trying to fit every unforgettable moment into one minute, I chose to focus on what matters most—the love they have for one another. Everything else will come in time.
To me, that's the heart of every wedding film. Beautiful venues, incredible details, and unforgettable celebrations all have their place, but they exist to support the real story: two people making a lifelong commitment and the emotions that surround it.
I'm so grateful to have worked alongside another incredible vendor team, with the beautiful backdrop of The Hartwood and the wonderful NC Wedding Photographer helping make the day a joy to document.

Here's your first look at Spencer & Lydia's unforgettable wedding day. ❤️

From an emotional ceremony live streamed to Lydia's family in Uganda, to an epic celebration that kept the dance floor packed all night, this day was filled with so many moments I can't wait to share.

As a DJ with Stylus Events, Spencer knows firsthand how much an incredible vendor team can elevate a wedding day. He and Lydia intentionally surrounded themselves with talented professional wedding vendors they know and trust, creating a celebration where every detail came together beautifully. A special shoutout to Stylus Events owner/founder Jason Huggins, somehow pulled off the incredible feat of serving as Best Man, Co-Officiant, DJ, and all-around hype man.

Some couples fall in love because they're opposites.
Others because they're so remarkably alike.

From the moment I met Madison and Tyler, it was obvious that laughter is one of the foundations of their relationship. During our conversations before the wedding, it became clear where Madison's wonderfully quirky sense of humor came from—her dad. His quick wit, playful personality, and ability to make everyone around him smile have become part of who she is today. Watching them together throughout the wedding day was a reminder that some of the greatest gifts parents pass on aren't things at all—they're the joy, laughter, and love that shape a family.
Tyler couldn't be a more perfect match. He has his own effortless way of making every moment more fun, turning ordinary interactions into memories worth reliving. ✨ Amanda & David — A Hartwood Love Story | Zach Thomas Films ✨

From beginning to end, Amanda & David’s wedding day was overflowing with meaningful moments — so much so that their wedding film naturally grew longer than expected to include every special detail, emotional milestone, and joyful celebration. I couldn’t resist preserving as much of their story as possible — from laughter during prep to heartfelt toasts and radiant sunset dancing. 

Nestled in the lush, elegant setting of The Hartwood Weddings & Events this day unfolded with grace and joy. The open-air chapel, charming cocktail patio, and stunning reception spaces created perfect backdrops for every shot. 

A special thank-you to Leah Dew and Jan Homestead, whose attentiveness and expert support as venue owners made the day run seamlessly. Their exceptional service, attention to detail, and heartfelt collaboration elevated this celebration in every way.
