🐾 Little introductions, big lessons! 🐾

Our 7.5 week old puppy had the opportunity to meet a very friendly Bernese Mountain Dog! ❤️

This is one of the many intentional experiences we incorporate into our puppy-raising. Thoughtful, positive introductions to friendly, appropriate dogs help puppies build confidence, learn social skills, and become more comfortable navigating the world around them.

But why introduce her to a dog that isn't a Collie?

Because dogs don't automatically generalize their experiences! A puppy who has had wonderful interactions with other Collies doesn't necessarily understand that those same positive experiences can apply to dogs of different breeds, sizes, colors, and appearances.

To our puppy, a fluffy Collie and a large, black-and-tan Bernese Mountain Dog may look like two completely different creatures! By providing safe, positive experiences with a variety of dogs, we're helping her learn that friendly dogs come in all shapes and sizes.

We're passionate about raising confident, adaptable puppies who are prepared to take on the world with their future families. Every little experience is an opportunity to build the foundation for a lifetime of success.
