I'm Roxanne of Hawa Images & I love a good story, that is why I was intrigued with photography & began this journey of visual storytelling. If you hate social media or feel “gross” and “salesy” this is for you.
⬇️
Sales is only gross if you are. If you have a product or service that you know makes people’s world’s better you should be screaming 📣about it.
And we should sll serve our clients so well that they will recommend us and come back.

If social media is exhausting you maybe it has be one more about performing than being yoy. Have you you have made it too much about what is trending or how to look like everyone else in your industry and not just about showing up as yourself and talking about what you do in a way that is relevant.

clarity is a gift and when we get more clear with ourselves and with our ideal clients, real connection happens. I hope people create visuals that are more clear and help them show up as themselves so that social media does not feel like such a heavy lift. If that sounds like something you need, let’s connect.

Getting to know you is everything to me.

Anyone can push a shutter button.
This is the part that actually matters . ⬇️

Before I ever pick up a camera, I want to know more of your story. Your “why.” The thing that lights you up about your work and what your clients ask you, and what makes your approach different. I read every word of your questionnaire. I study your brand, your voice, the way you talk about what you do. I research visuals in your industry and search anything I need to understand more about (for a current client that is helping me learn more about housing and ADU’s). I create a brand session guide and we go through it on a planning. Call together to make sure everything feels like you- and I always say if anything is not aligned, we scrap it, but if it is a little outside of your comfort zone, I ask you to trust me because those are some of our favorite images usually post session. I am here to help you elevate!

Because brand storytelling isn’t just about pretty pictures or updated headshots. It’s about co-creating something that actually looks and feels like you.

If your visuals aren’t connecting, it might not be a camera problem. It might be a nobody-actually-got-to-know-you problem.

You can feel the shift, even if you can’t explain it clearly. When people show up more unapologetically and share their values, they will attract people that share those values.

Trust me because I have lived this and I know it’s true. When I started showing up sharing who I am, what about my approach is different, and the values of my business I started having inquiries and clients who wanted to work with me, not just who wanted the service I provide.

Rachel Rachel Abbott didn’t come to me for pretty pictures. She was ready to show up in her brand even more!

She came to me building the antidote to an entire industry stereotype. Where other party bus experiences feel unsettling, Rachel built Rachel Abbott on one rule. She is in control, and that control is what makes people feel safe.

You already know I get obsessed with each and every one of my clients. For Rachel that meant AutoZone, a retro car wash, and a gas station at 10pm as part of her shoot, because tools and transportation are literally her brand.

My goal was to make her feel seen and make sure her vision came through exactly how she wanted it to be. 

That feeling of being seen is the whole point of what I do. Not a nice byproduct. The actual goal. I am not standing behind my camera handing out generic compliments. I am paying attention long enough to understand what makes your story yours, and then I am going to say it out loud when I see it.

Bold yet clean. Rugged but sophisticated. A woman who commands the space and never makes anyone question their safety. That energy deserved photos that matched it, and a process that made her feel it too.

I am not here to “capture” you- I don’t ever use that word. I am here to co create something that makes you say this is finally me.👏

This was never just about handing you a gallery and calling it done. It’s about showing up for you the whole way there.

I don’t ghost you after you book. I’m with you from the first questionnaire all the way through session day, so honestly, prepare to be a little sick of me✌️

We collaborate. I get obsessed with your brand before I ever pick up my camera. A client told me recently, “you care as much about my brand as I do.” I cried reading that. I still think about it.

That’s the energy I bring every single time. It’s why I only take a limited number of clients. It’s why I get to know you, your story, your people, before we ever shoot. It’s why I hype you up the way I do.

We can absolutely say the thing outloud that we think makes us unworthy because it makes us real. It’s OK that I was nervous and peed six times before I got up to speak on this panel AND I know that I deserve to be here and encouraged women today.

We are complicated and complex and we should stop trying to reduce our stories to one punch line.
So often we downplay or under appreciate the amazing gifts we have been given. I love partnering with people that are ready to shout and show up and step forward into a new era of confidence, not built on faking it until you make it but by being authentic why they build it.
