What I love about shoots like this is that it's never really about the photos at first. It's about making someone feel safe enough to be fully seen and comfortable.

I had the privilege of working with Amber recently on a shoot for her book launch and brand refresh.

Here's what we made sure to capture, and why you need the same:

The Personality Shot — this is you, unfiltered. laughing, curled up with a book, being real.

The Product or Service Shot — For Amber, that was her book and her with models to showcase the therapist side of her business. For you, it might be your menu, your tools, or your workspace.

A full-body/Brand shot — To show your presence, your style, the way you carry yourself and preferable in your brand colors.

to an event I never shared and honestly should have. Momerton, an elevated tea experience celebrating motherhood with style, connection, and of course, tea is an annual event hosted by JNicole Events.

I had the best time behind the lens watching these mothers and their children just be present with each other. What I loved most about the event was how there were activities incorporated for the kids; From a scavenger hunt, to bouquet making, to tea time, to play time, and even a fashion show.

Moments like this is exactly why I love event photography. Not only will I capture the set up but I will ensure you have photos for you, your attendees and vendors to savor the moment and experience forever.

Not every shoot is a brand shoot. Event photography has lately been the runner up and one thing I love is a good event!

The 2026 Black & White Scholarship Ball with the Fayetteville Alumni Chapter was an evening of excellence, discipline, and impact and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help capture the night.

Hey Ya’ll!

It been a minute and honestly it’s been a lot. Between balancing military life, building my business, and life in general has had me pulled in every direction.

Despite it all, God was still moving even when I wasn’t posting. The clients kept coming (some new, some returning) and I kept building… just behind the scenes.

Let's address something I hear all the time!

"I don't really need professional photos right now."

As a business owner, I want to challenge that. Your visuals are the first thing people see before they ever read a word about what you do. If your photos don't represent where you are NOW, you're leaving trust and potentially money on the table.

And listen, I get it! You're busy. But here's what I know for sure: people buy from people they trust, and trust starts with how you show up visually. Think about the last big purchase you made and why? What about it made you buy it?

Now think about your brand. Does your current profile photo look like the version of you that's showing up and doing the work right now? Does it reflect the offer you've built, the brand you've grown, the confidence you've earned?
