A Moment from the Past:
Mark Atkinson, one of the smartest
photojournalists to work at the News & Observer. Mark attended Wake Forest University, receiving a business degree, and then attended Randolph Technical College to receive his Applied Science degree in photography. Mark's career at the N&O was short-lived before moving on to other fields of photography. His career would lead to being an accomplished documentarian and advertising photographer. His images would appear in Esquire and other publications, too many to name. His work would take him to China and other parts of the world. His images have appeared in exhibitions throughout the United States. Mark is still making his mark as a visionary.
