With each

album, in the description, I try to put the approximate location where I was taking pictures and the time of day when I took them. All the pictures have the time in the watermark. Using this information, and your finishing time, you should be able to do simple math to find your pictures without much trouble. I try to snap as many people as possible, but I'm just one guy. I do races as well and like to have pictures as mementos of my race, but at $35+ per picture, that can get pricey! So, I figured there were other folks like that, so I'm offering these for free. They're just Facebook quality, and maybe OK for a 3"x5" print. I put the "FightMS" watermark in there to encourage people to make a donation to MS through our link and get the HiRes Watermark-Free digital photo. And if you can't find yourself here, I also encourage you to check the official race photographer's website (if any). Those guys work hard and know what they're doing. I did pay $35 for an incredible first marathon finish line photo and had it blown up to poster size... it was worth every penny!

We got some great pics at the Triangle Triathlon today!

To find your photo for the SWIM, look at the album with the time range in which you exited the swim and it should be in there.

To find your photo for the RUN OR BIKE, these were taken at the intersection on the run/bike course as indicated by the map. Look at the album with the time range in which you PASSED THROUGH THAT INTERSECTION for when you were on the bike coming in, the run going out AND the run coming in (I didn't get any photos of bikes going out).

I believe I got 90%+ race participants with a swim, a bike, AND a run photo. And I believe I got 95%+ participants with at least one photo of you somewhere on the course.

We're getting close!

Here's my current shooting plan:
If the race IS NOT WETSUIT LEGAL, I'm going to start shooting at the swim exit, then when everyone's done there, head to South St or S. Saunders St. to catch the grit and determination of the triathletes coming up that list little hill into T2. Then I'll be somewhere on the course, probably on Hillsborough near the capital where the light is good.
If the race IS WETSUIT LEGAL, I won't shoot pictures of people coming out of the water... who wants to see someone struggling to get out of a wetsuit anyway? I'll start shooting the bikes somewhere on N. Pea Ridge before the riders hit 64. Then for the run, if the light is right, I'm gonna try to catch everyone fresh about 1/4-1/2 mile into the run.

Do you realize that even though this is a triathlon, it's the BIGGEST BIKE RACE in the triangle??? (possibly in NC, but that may be B2B).

I'm looking to take pics next Sunday and am scouting the course to get pics of the most athletes coming out of the water...

I'm looking to take pics next Sunday and am scouting the course to get pics of the most athletes coming out of the water, on the bike AND on the run!

No way I'll be able to be positioned to get a swim/bike/run pic of every athlete with nearly an hour difference between the first wave and last wave start; the time to drive from the lake to a good bike shooting spot; and the difference between the speedy AG'ers and those pushing the course time limit. (I'm not worried about the pros... they have plenty of photos of themselves)

I'm going to be on the course for longer than I was when I raced it in 2013!

Guess where we're gonna be tomorrow!

If you're doing the To***co Road Marathon, type your bib number in the comments and I'll try that much harder to catch you.

I'll be the guy on the course, fartleking 13.1 miles with a DSLR camera, taking pictures of everyone coming toward me. So as soon as you see me, do 2 things:
1. Be Smiling!
2. Be Running!

And if you have friends doing the race, be sure to tell them to like us so that they'll see when the pics go up.
