Let’s talk about the time allotted for Santa Minis. Some have contacted me and said “10 minutes?!” First, I will say, rest assured, “we’ll get the shot.” Trust me. 10 minutes is a lot more time than you think when we’re talking about this type of photoshoot. This interactive session has been my MOST successful with kids. The set is there we are working around a counter top, it is sensory filled and full of “things to do.” There is not a ton of posing needed it is simply interaction with Santa. Santa is a GREAT team player and knows when to step out and sneak in, if need be and I am cool as a cucumber. Our tone sets the temperature of the room. This session is about the experience and kids will have fun, plus there’s cookies for goodness sake! 😅 Built in bribery! I will WORK for the shot, I have four kids of my own that range from SUPER shy and anxious to very outgoing and we ALWAYS get a shot. Sometimes it’s the only shot that their personalities will let me get, like crying with Santa but it’s perfectly displaying that memory for me to keep. Candid is my favorite and “forced” candid is my speciality AND THIS is not your average Santa, he is absolutely up for the interaction and task, he’s so friendly and soft spoken and WILL engage your kiddos. I am not trying to twist your arm, you know your kids best. I am only trying to reassure you that this is what I do and I got you, if in fact you’re on the fence because of the amount of time for the session.
