In March 2019, I captured a Canadian National C40-8, which was originally built for the Chicago and North Western Railway. This locomotive is seen pulling a train that it was built for. It is hauling empty coal hoppers in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Canadian National felt the need for more power in the early 2010's and purchased all the ex-Chicago and North Western C40-8’s from Union Pacific. We captured these locomotives prior to being repainted, and some repainted with the CN’s 15th Anniversary logo.

In October of 2015, two former DM&E locomotives, then working for the CP, pull H15 up the hill at Como Avenue in St. Paul, MN. The leader was lettered for the City of Rapid City which is my childhood hometown.

A pair of Canadian Pacific SD40–2’s along with some other great EMD power climb the hill at Union Junction in St. Paul Minnesota with Train H42. This is the Humboldt Avenue Transfer that operates between Saint Paul and Minneapolis and back. This scene was captured in 2014.
