Introducing: Habibah
This sneak peek at our final Love at First Sight(hound) photoshoot highlights a breed I've up to now only dreamed about - the Sloughi. An ancient and noble breed, Habibah is a perfect example of their grace and beauty; legs for days, and a silly personality full of love and curiosity beneath that regal gaze. I can't wait to show Bridget and Nina the rest of the magic we captured in our sunrise session last weekend!

Meet 9 month old Livia (on the left) and 9.5 year old Zahara (on the right). This mother-daughter dynamic duo charmed the pants off me and everyone whose path we crossed during our recent Love at First Sight(hound) photoshoot. They are owned and loved by Elizabeth and Josh, who are outstanding breed ambassadors for this rare sighthound breed: Cirneco dell'Etna.

Like most sighthounds, Cirnechi are athletic, lithe, and leggy. However, they are unusual in that they hunt with sight, scent, and hearing. Plus...they're just so sweet!

Meet Tessa - the undeniably stunning 9.5 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback, making her way into the upcoming Love at First Sight(hound) book. Tessa's "dog mom" Lynne calls Tessa her warrior princess - but you'll have to wait for the book's release to learn why. For now, suffice to say the battle for my heart was won by Tessa instantly. This sneak preview is just one example of her showing off that intense gaze, and her stunning coat.

Love at First Sight(hound) is almost fully curated, and I’m getting very close to wrapping up applications.

The dogs already included in this book are such an incredible group, and I’m so excited about how it’s all coming together.

At this point, I’m mainly leaving room for a few rare or underrepresented sighthound breeds. If that might be your hound, or if you know someone who should be part of this project, please tag them, share this reel, or send them my ear before May 1st.

I’ll be tagging the wonderful humans already involved because I’d love your help finding these final additions. 🤍

Meet Agnes, a (nearly) three year old Italian Greyhound destined for a coveted spot in the upcoming Love at First Sight(hound) book. Dog pawrents Mel and Dom chose this location because it’s where they were married, and agreed to meet me at sunrise for our session. Little did any of us anticipate, but Mother Nature blessed us with fog that morning, providing that magical, ethereal light that makes me swoon! As for her part, Agnes brought the charm, beauty, and elegance so befitting the location and the mood.
