Studio milestone photos feel a little bit like pressing pause. 🥹🤍

The new teeth, the curls, the little hands, the expressions they make CONSTANTLY right now. All the tiny things that feel so normal when you see them every day, but somehow change before you even realize it.

You don’t need a birthday or a big milestone for an excuse to photograph who they are right now. Sometimes right now is the milestone.

There’s something about senior photos that makes it all feel a little more real. 🥹

You’ve watched her grow up every single day, but then you’re standing behind me during her senior session and suddenly you can see it. The little girl who used to walk around in high heels carrying your old flip phone and a purse is still there, but so is this almost-grown woman you raised.

That’s one of my favorite things about photographing seniors. I get to bring out the person you already know so well and give you photographs of her right here, in this new, exciting in-between. 🤍

One of the best parts about senior photos in the Black Hills? One location can give us SO much variety. 🤍 Water, aspens, open fields, sunset… without spending half your session driving from place to place.

The day I relaunched my client experience, I sat on the front porch with my coffee and watched the rain… and for a little while longer, only a few people knew what the big launch was. ❤️

One of my close friends messaged me and said, “Sayer, your dad would just be so proud of you.”

My dad was my biggest fangirl in life and in business. ❤️ I never knew I could miss someone so much.

I’ve been prepping like crazzzy for a lineup of Christmas Minis that the Black Hills has literally never seen before. 🫣 And the first launches begin NEXT WEEK! 🥳
