An out-of-this-world scene from the recent geomagnetic storm! Had to grab gas at Wall Drug South Dakota before dipping into Badlands National Park, so I decided to check on the dinosaur and make sure he was enjoying the show, too :)

Happy first day of "Meteorological Spring" everyone! The storm chasing community largely celebrates March 1st as a date that means chasing storms is near. This is the most spring-like image I could think to post, but on the northern plains, things get started a little later than traditional tornado alley. And this image was taken on... **checks notes**... July 3rd 😂

Have been focusing efforts pretty heavily on YouTube lately, but did get the chance during some frigid weather this past week to shoot some stills of snowflakes! Unlike most of my photos, I actually shot these during the daytime. Luckily with my setup, there isn't a huge difference whether it's day or night :) Had an awesome variety of snow fall in about 30 minutes. Of these 40-ish keepers, can you pick a favorite one? Top 3? 🤔

Anyone else get nostalgic about snow around Christmas? This scene is one I wish I could transport myself back into. Deadwood, SD during a 2022 snow storm that dropped three FEET of snow. I got a hotel and spent the evening walking the streets, shooting scenes that looked like they came straight out of a story book.

No white Christmas here this year. Though temps in the 50s have been nice, it's just not the same! Hoping everyone has a wonderful holiday, full of memories worth reminiscing :)
