Now that wedding season has finally arrived I figured I’d share some of my favorite photos from the end of Amanda and Paul’s wedding last fall that I shot for my pal Kaitlin Toto (see below).

The music & dancing is truly one of my favorite parts of the wedding to photograph - especially with fun guests who aren’t afraid to hit the dance floor. I just love immersing myself in the crowd and capturing all the candid moments of everyone letting loose…and sometimes even getting a little wild 😉

It’s the time when everyone can unleash their inner party animal, when the festive spirit is fully animated, when the laughter and mirth and cheer are on full display. And I get to be there as what feels like a fellow guest partying with everyone, capturing the moments as they happen. Throw in some 80s pop and 90s/00s emo/pop punk and I am FIRED UP 📸🕺🏻

Huge shoutout to Amanda and Paul and all their very spirited guests for being so fun to photograph!

My buddy Jonathan is the owner and operator of in Raymond, Maine. A bona fide craftsman, Jonathan creates custom-made pieces like cutting boards, tables, furniture, and assorted gifts with laser engraving (including my sign, as you see here).

He started the business in 2019 with a passion for design designing and building furniture that highlight the warmth of wood and the precision of hand-built craftsmanship. His work combines traditional woodworking techniques with a clean, modern aesthetic. He uses maple, walnut, oak, and pine, and accepts custom orders.

I took these on the day that he designed my sign from scratch, and it was exciting witnessing the process firsthand. In addition, I photographed one of his walnut end grain butcher blocks to use for his website.

Pulled these ones from the archive, going back to 2023 📸

My pal had just got a camera, so on an overcast day we hit Spring Point Light in South Portland and the iconic Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth for a lil photo adventure.

I experimented a bit with double exposures and different edits as you’ll see here. I always try to get double exposure shots in-camera rather than layering in Photoshop, mostly because I enjoy the challenge (and I guess I’m also a glutton for punishment).

Moody days on the coast are truly my favorite - they evoke something sort of ominous, but also beguiling in a very Maine way.

This month the Massachusetts towns of Lexington and Concord commemorated the 251st anniversary of the famous battles that commenced the Revolutionary War in 1775.

With America turning 250 this year, I’ve been nerding out hard on all things Revolutionary War, recently finishing David McCullough’s biography of John Adams and “1776,” as well as watching Ken Burns’ new documentary, “The American Revolution.” So my buddy Jon and I decided to head down to where it all began: Lexington and Concord - practically in our backyard as Mainers - to participate in some way in the towns’ festivities on Patriots’ Day Weekend.

We didn’t get to witness the reenactment of the battle at Concord’s Old North Bridge, where the “shot heard ‘round the world” - the very first shot of the War - was fired (driving from Maine, the 5:15am start time was a wee bit rough 🫠), but we *did* get to witness the reenactment of the Red Coats and Rebels fighting at Tower Park during the British withdrawal toward Boston. These photos captured that, as well as some photos of downtown Lexington.

It was WAY cooler (and louder!) than I expected!

Pulled these from the “archives,” aka 2024.

I never actually posted the photos I took here on a trip to Stonington, Maine, a tiny fishing village in the Down East region just south of Deer Isle.
I was there for a bike ride to explore since I’d never been, and I went out to shoot in a thunderstorm that I thought could produce some cool photos. I took the first photo here from Sand Beach, and the others near the downtown area after the storm cleared.

A beautiful spot I’d love to return to - and only 3 hours away! 🫠

A year ago this week I was in San Francisco for my first time with my pal Angie, who moved out there a couple years ago. I brought my as always and took what I thought were some cool photos of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The first six photos here are from the very first day I laid my eyes on the Bridge, at Marshall’s Beach. The last two are long exposures from Presidio Park. (I was instructed not to post photos of the crows because they’re menaces, but alas 🙃)

One might say it was a golden opportunity, and my friendship with Angie was a bridge to new adventures 😏 (in Maine we’d just say “the trip was wicked friggin good bub”)

Before the start of the show I was bopping around taking photos when I came across Aarnie, one of the runway models, in this really beautifully decorated space. It caught my eye so I asked if I could take her picture, and it turned into a fun & completely spontaneous portrait session, and I was so stoked with the results!

On a recent early morning drive through western Maine on my way to a hike, I spotted this scene and immediately pulled over to grab a few photos. I freaking loved the rising sun, the golden haze in the air, the frost-tipped field. Majestic.

Thanks to how striking and majestic it was, I was late to meet my friend at the trailhead. Nice.
