Daddy brought some bedding for the baby. Notice the little guy has started to sprout some darker feathers. At this stage, they grow pretty fast. Eaglets reach adult size within 10 to 12 weeks after hatching.

Hold still! I found a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher at Frontenac State Park this morning and managed to get a few shots in focus. Gnatcatchers are so small and fast, it is hard to lock on with a camera.

Proud mom. Yesterday, an eagle posed with her baby in the nest across the river from downtown Red Wing.

Kinglets are challenging to get a good shot. It's like trying to get a picture of ping pong balls bouncing. I took hundreds of pictures today, and managed to get a few in focus. Still, I enjoy seeing them, for they herald the big migration coming. I saw this flock in Red Wing today.
