Ruby made a friend!

We are super excited for tomorrow and the Theodore Roosevelt National Park Badlands and Bridles event being held at Peaceful Valley Ranch.

After we got setup today, we finally got to drive the reopened south loop road!

Glassed horses from Badlands Overlook, ran into Anzar and his girls, met a sweet family who stopped to enjoy Apex enjoying the heights as we departed the park! They are excited to come out to PVR tomorrow and meet former wilds in person!

I am excited to meet Ms. P’s brother—Oklahoma!

Ruby, notorious for f’ng up in ND, forces her driver to question if 46 miles left on the gas gauge is accurate—decides she’s not trustworthy and pulls off the interstate to refuel in an unscheduled stop…

You might not find us at PVR in Theodore Roosevelt National Park for the 250th Birthday Celebration!

You may have to search for us galloping across the buttes and the valleys and along the north ridge!

Theodore Roosevelt National Park will host Badlands & Bridles: Public Lands Horse Use and Management on July 2–3, 2026, a two-day public program highlighting the history, science, management of horses on America’s public lands. The event will take place at Peaceful Valley Ranch from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days and will feature a full schedule of presentations, live demonstrations, and educational activities for visitors of all ages. As a part of their yearlong travel, The Bureau of Land Management Wild Horse and B***o 250th Anniversary Ambassador Team, Freedom and Liberty, will be in attendance and available for a meet and greet with members of the public.
