Over the years, I've had the pleasure of following and photographing many performances by one of Detroit's most exciting jazz trumpeters, Allen Dennard. Like so many others, I was immediately drawn to his incredible energy, commanding stage presence, and the passion he pours into every note he plays.

Whether leading his own band, paying tribute to the jazz masters, or inspiring the next generation of musicians, Allen brings a level of authenticity and soul that reminds us why Detroit remains one of the world's great jazz cities.

Today, I salute the artist, the performer, and the brother I proudly call "The Man with the Horn."
