You do not have to spend the entire drive to your session reminding everyone to "be good for the photographer." 🤍

Kids wiggle. Toddlers wander. Siblings make each other laugh at exactly the wrong time.

That's family life.

As a Yucaipa family photographer, I'm not expecting your children to suddenly become tiny professional models. I'll guide everyone when we need a traditional portrait, but I'll also give your kids room to be themselves.

We're not trying to photograph a perfectly behaved family.

Good news. You don't have to. 😊

Most people aren't used to being professionally photographed, and I don't expect you to arrive knowing exactly how to stand, where to look, or what angle works best.

I'll guide you through it.

That's especially important during maternity photos. I want you to feel comfortable, not like you're trying to perform for the camera.

If I had to choose between a perfectly posed photo and one that immediately makes you say, “Yep, that’s us,” I know which one I’m choosing.

Give me the snuggles, the little hands reaching for Mom or Dad, the belly laughs, and those expressions you see all the time at home.

Of course we'll get the beautiful everyone-together photograph too. But the little moments in between? Those are usually the ones that become favorites.

That's what I love capturing as an Inland Empire family photographer. Photographs that look beautiful, but still feel like your people.

Your kids do not need to be on their best behavior for family photos. 🤍

They can be silly. They can need a snack. Your toddler can decide running away from me is suddenly the greatest game they’ve ever played. 😂

I don’t need perfect behavior to create beautiful family portraits.

So please don’t wait until they’re “better at photos.” Don’t wait until they’re older or calmer or easier.

Bring me the chaos. I’ll take it from there. 🤍

Fall is one of my favorite times for family portraits in Southern California. Golden light, warm colors, kids getting to run around and be themselves, and most importantly, you actually being in the photos with them.

Pregnancy can feel incredibly long while you're living it.

And then somehow, it becomes a season you can barely remember without photographs.

The shape of your belly. The way you rested your hand there without thinking. The anticipation of meeting someone you already love.

You don't have to love every second of pregnancy to want to remember what it felt like to carry your baby.

As an Inland Empire maternity photographer, this is one of the reasons I believe this season deserves to be documented, exactly as it is.

Sometimes one photograph brings all of it back. 🤍

One of the easiest things you can do for your future, very tired, very in-love newborn-parent self? Plan your newborn photos before baby arrives.

You don't need to predict baby's birthday perfectly. Booking ahead simply gives us time to talk through your session, what matters to you, and how you'd eventually like to enjoy your photographs.

Then baby arrives, everything changes overnight, and this is already taken care of.
