You know how sometimes you find yourself feeling perfectly content and complete? This was one of those moments for me.
So much goes into timing and scheduling a photoshoot for me. As a full time stay at home mom, I have tired to lean into going with the flow, and just trust in the universe that things will fall into place; all I need to do is show up, trust myself, be kind, don't worry, and be gratful.

As we were ending our session, I felt so happy with a lot of our shots, and then bam, here comes the full moon shining and rising from the horizon! This could not have been planned any better! Oh, and did I mention it was raining earlier this day? Yea, we just decided we will show up and see what happens; neither of us realized the special treat we were in for with a full moon rising on the way!

I posed at the top of the rose garden under the gazebo, adjusted my settings, and snapped a few shots with my zoom lense. I love this one. Full term and full moon; all the work I have done to try and work as a professional photographer was paying off, and with a little bit of luck, we got an awesome full moon rise background.
They symbolism here is massive and beautiful, as we all know how women and the moon symnolically go hand in hand across cultures in mythology since the beginning of man kind.
Everything about this screams compleatness to me.

What is a transformation process you are going through right now? Is it getting an education? Are you going to get married? Are you starting a new job? Expecting a baby? Is it physical or mental or both?

Transformation comes in many ways, and sometimes it is a slow process. People go through many transformations in life, and sometimes it's hard to think back to the beginning of, and rememebr your old self, when a certian transformation process has matured.

There is NOTHING like when you get to hold your long awaited baby in your arms for the first time. It's the pinnacle concrete moment of the full-on interactive phase of parenthood, and it is beautiful, terrifying, and magical. For a mother, your body is done growing a human. For a dad, you finally get to feel your baby.
The transformation into motherhood, and parenthood, is one of the most intense life expierences in my opinion. The struggles, the fulfillment, the love, the fear; so many feelings felt at such intense levels when becoming a parent.
The first step into the pool begins when you find out you are expecting, and the waves slowly wash over you. Different days bring different tides, sometimes even storms. Giant waves of realization and emotion crashing over you at times and it can be hard to process everything - sometimes even the joy.
There were so many time where I would just sob with joy, complete ugly convulsive cry sobbing with pure bliss and gratitude, haha.
Part of the reason I love baby and family photography is because the transformation never stops. My photos capture those precious phases and raw emotions felt during the transformative processes we find ourselves in life. It's so humbling to look back and acknowledge the growth that has been accomplished.

Growth. Everything about this session represents growth to me. Eva growing my niece Cambria in her womb, me growing into my photography profession, the trees and plants that make this location so magical - all growing.

Growth is slow sometimes, and I am absolutly positive that one of the biggest lessons in this lifetime for me to learn is patience; with myself and achieveing my goals mostly.

I have been dreaming of doing a maternity shoot underneath this beautiful tree with the ivy and golden leaves covering the ground at this time of year! I am so thrilled with how my patience paid off and how magical this session was. And you wouldn't know it by looking at her, but Eva had a hell of a day this day before hand, and still managed to rock a hour and a half long photo session.

This is where we started our session that evening. I will slowly be leaking photos from the rest of it, but I must be patient and pace myself because we got so many beautiful shots and I want to highlight them all!

Thank you Eva for being my subject and letting me hike you around the entire forest to take photos at some of my favorite spots! This session particularly helped grow my confidence and learn to lean into trusting myself and developed skills as a professional photographer who is learning to market themself 😬. This was such a fun session, and I think that is part of my lesson as well - just have fun and things will work out in time. And I mean come on, you get to do a photo shoot with your beautiful sister-in-law who's pregnant with your niece?

❤ Fresh 48 ❤ Welcome, my niece, Cambria June! I love how mom is reaching out and touching dad, who is supporting his newest baby, who is also being supported in the arms of her big sister. Everyone connected.

This photo was taken with my cell phone, as a matter of fact. The birthing rooms at are so comfortable and relaxing. The lighting in the room was nice and low, perfect for delicate new eyes ❤ Certian shots were just better on my phone instead of my fixed and .
I remember feeling so gratful to give birth to my son, Waylon, in the room right next store to this one in the photo! The staff and midwives at beach cities are incredible.

As Waylon was walking around in the room with his older cousin, and now a big sister, Julianne, I realized that all the cousins were born here, in this same birth center!

How cool is that?!

This was such a fun session, I can't get over Nicole's perfect belly!!

What a joy it was to be there at the birth center right after she was born! Waylon, Julianne, Maimo and I played in the park across the street collecting sticks flowers and tiny pinecones while we waited for her arrival!

Congratulations to my brother, , , and big sister Julianne Rose! So exciting! She has finally arrived!

Who remembers school dances like homecoming?? This is my beautiful cousin
with her date. Luckily she let me share some of these photos! I absolutly love shooting at this location before her homecoming dance this winter. I have a few more great shots from this session I will leak out in good time so keep an eye out for this beauty queen and the very lucky guy who got to take her to the dance that evening!

Also, here is a fun memory - My cousin and I lived in the same city, and we are the same age. One of her friends asked me to her school dance, and I was able to use her I.D. to get in and bypass the extra fee for attending because I wasnt a student there. I love my cousins so much ❤
