🌊 Don't these photos just make you want to jump in the pool?? 🌊 I can tell you honestly I was tempted more than once during the scorching hot weekend. Needless to say I didn't mind getting close enough to be splashed!!

Thank you all for the love on the recent (and my very first!) weight pull coverage. I had a blast watching your dogs work and seeing just how much they love this sport! I hope it catches on more and we start to see more of this event offered! For now, I will eagerly await my next chance at covering it!

Weight pull photos from the Dodge County Canine Club trial over the last weekend are up! It was awesome to see all types of dogs working hard to pull those blocks, and to see such a supportive group of judges and helpers. I had a blast covering a new-to-me event, and I hope to do more weight pull coverage in the future!

The photos are grouped by day of the trial, with the dogs grouped together within the folder (meaning once you see a group of your dog(s) photos, that's all their pulls for the day lumped into one photo set!) I recommend using the "favorites" feature to save all your dog(s) photos in a custom list so you can view all your photos from both days.

I loved the music room background during this trial, and I think it makes for particularly nice photos! If you frequently trial in scentwork, you know that the usual backgrounds aren't nearly as pretty 🙃

That weekend on the same site, DCCC is hosting weight pull, so come on over and have fun with two sports!

Kaytlin Winkels Photography will be doing Dash and Steeple photos and our lovely Rae Photography will be doing weight pull photos so lots of opportunities to have some fun photos of your pups to boot!

Did you know that June marks my first year anniversary of capturing dog sports?? 🥳 The past year has simply flown by, and I cannot believe I get to have a job that is so fun and fulfilling!

I want to give a huge thank you to the entire community that has welcomed me with open arms. To everyone who has purchased photos, recommended me to event coordinators and clubs, and even just said hi at trials, you make my whole world brighter. To the clubs that have taken a risk on me and watched it pay off, thank you. To the fellow photographers who have helped this dogless gal find a spot in your world, you are truly the best and I cannot thank you enough.

Just a few pics of a few recent Remembrance sessions 💛

These types of sessions hold a special place in my heart. They fuel my passion for photography, while also pressing heavily on my emotions. I remember each and every one, and shed more tears than I'd like to admit behind the camera.

Each time I gear up for one of these sessions, I feel like I'm bringing my own late dog along and it makes me feel closer to my work and community.
