My very first wedding, 2012.
I vividly remember how exciting it felt to have someone trust me with something as important as their wedding day.
Looking at these photos all these years later, I’m still genuinely so proud of them. 🤍 But more than anything, I’m thankful for my bride and friend who believed in me before I had years of weddings behind me. She trusted me with her memories and gave me the chance to do something I had never done before.
That one “yes” helped start a part of my photography business that I never could have imagined would still be such a huge part of my life all these years later.
I will always have such a soft spot for these photos and this day.
Forever thankful for the people who believed in me from the beginning. 🤍📸

Some engagement sessions feel like an adventure from start to finish, and Austin & Alicia’s was exactly that. ❤️

We met at Sleeping Bear Dunes and spent the evening exploring one of Michigan’s most beautiful places with not just the two of thembut their three dogs, too. From sandy paws and wagging tails to quiet moments overlooking Lake Michigan, every part of this session felt like them.

One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is getting a glimpse into a couple’s life before the wedding day. The way Austin looks at Alicia, the way they laugh together, and the way their dogs are clearly part of their story made this session so special.

I already know their wedding day is going to be incredible when they say “I do” at Caberfae Peaks in 2027. If their engagement session is any indication, it’s going to be filled with love, joy, and the people (and pups) they cherish most.

2027 can’t come soon enough. 🐾✨💍

one thing I’ve learned after 14 years as a photographer, it’s not always about the “perfect” location.
give me golden hour, a tiny patch of wildflowers, and a senior willing to trust me… and we can create something beautiful almost anywhere 🫶🏻✨🤍

a few things that truly make a difference in your wedding photos as a bride:
• Build extra time into your timeline
• Don’t overpack the morning schedule
• Trust your vendors instead of managing everything yourself
• And PLEASE sneak away for golden hour portraits if you can ☀️

some of the most beautiful images happen in the quiet in-between moments , when you breathe and realize… you just married your person 🫶
