Busy season has me running around like a crazy lady between kiddos, school pickups, keeping up with the never-ending household chores, late nights editing, photoshoots, and everything in between. Some days, I feel like I’m running on coffee and pure determination. 😂🫶🏻

I currently have 14+ galleries to edit this month alone, and while the thought of it can feel a little overwhelming at times, I also can’t help but feel SO incredibly grateful and overjoyed. The fact that so many of you are trusting me to capture your memories, your families and your milestones is something I don’t take lightly.

Every booking, every inquiry, every kind word, every referral, and every bit of support means more to me than you’ll ever know. You’re not just keeping my little photography business busy; you’re helping me chase a dream while raising my babies, and that is something I’ll forever be thankful for.

To every single person who has booked with Twisted Willow Photography, shared my work, recommended me to a friend, or supported this little business in any way, THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES OVER. You are truly the sweetest, and I will never stop appreciating you.

I had the absolute privilege of photographing my very first proposal last weekend, and OMG what a moment it was! 🤍

I had no idea what was about to happen until just two minutes before he popped the question. He was nervously shaking with a ring tucked away in his pocket, and I was over here shaking right alongside him, making sure I didn’t miss a single moment.

I am beyond grateful that this sweet couple trusted me to capture their family photos, but for him to trust me with something so special and meaningful as asking the love of his life to marry him? That means more to me than words can explain.

Being able to capture these once in a lifetime moments is one of the many reasons I love what I do. Getting to freeze a memory that they’ll cherish forever is such a beautiful privilege, and I’ll never take that for granted. 🥹💍🤍

I’m convinced I met some of the sweetest, most down-to-earth people tonight. Actually, no… I know I did. 🤍

This sweet couple is celebrating their anniversary, and every year, they travel somewhere new and have photos taken to remember their adventures. This year, I was the lucky ducky who got to capture them with their newest little babe, and what an honor that was.

But the sweetest part of the evening happened as I was getting ready to leave. My daughter wanted to go down the slide, and this wonderful woman looked at me and asked, “Do you want me to take a picture of you going down the slide with her?”

I asked, “Are you sure?” And without hesitation, she said, “Absolutely! You’re a mom, too. You deserve these memories.”

Y’all. 🥹😭🤍

I showed her how to use my camera, and she took photos of Kazleigh and me going down the slide together. As a photographer, I spend so much of my time behind the camera, making sure other families have beautiful memories to look back on. Sometimes, I forget that I deserve to be in those memories, too.

And for a complete stranger to recognize that, offer to help, and remind me of something so simple yet so meaningful? That meant more to me than she probably realizes.

So yes, I absolutely had the privilege of meeting some of the best people tonight. Not only did I get to capture beautiful memories for them, but they gave me a beautiful memory of my own. 🫶🏼

This is why I love what I do. Not just pretty pictures, but the tiny pieces of childhood that pass far too quickly. As a mom, I know all too well how fast it goes.

The little smiles, the curious moments, the sisterly kisses… all wrapped up in these sweet photos, forever. 🤎
