Serene sail on the Cape May–Lewes Ferry last week.
Out on the Delaware Bay the water glowed molten gold, stretching endlessly under a sky exploding with light.

This golden hour was pure magic! Sunbeams piercing the heavy clouds, painting the waves and that distant ferry in pure fire. Couldn’t resist getting a little creative with a scene this dramatic. ✨

Wonderful sail on the A.J. Meerwald Friday out of Cape May! Although there was literally no wind and the bay was like glass, it was an incredible experience. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, with the ship’s engineer giving us a great history rundown and more. A pod of dolphins even welcomed us as we exited the inlet while the crew raised the sails!

I’ve always wanted to sail on this schooner. New Jerseys Official tall ship! ⛵️

Although it was mostly cloudy over Cape May last night was able to capture the lunar eclipse. Tough shooting conditions lead to not the crispness of images. Still really enjoyed photographing the event. Here is the first phase to the blood moon. 🌕🌔🌙🌚

My next post will be the full event.
