For a longgggg time, I’ve been hesitant to share much of my film work on Instagram. Not because I wasn’t shooting it, wasn’t proud of it, or wasn’t pouring my whole heart into it but because I always assumed it wasn’t what people wanted to see or cared too much about what the “film community” thought.
While I can make a technically perfect film photo that matches my digital work, those aren’t photos that I feel inspired by. I’m drawn to quirky, the unexpected, the frames that make it feel like Christmas when I see my negatives (iykyk)
I’ve realized recently, that I actually DO NOT give a sh*t if my work fits in a box, is technically perfect or matches my digital work at all. Film is MY safe space. The space where I can experiment, trust my instincts, and put pieces of myself into my photos. A place where I can make photographs simply based on vibes 🙂↕️
While this may seem like a very random post to those who don’t know me, it’s actually a soft launch into a new era of what I’ll be sharing here. More quirky, more funky, more meeeeee
