Happy 6th Birthday to my baby boy, Stetson Lane 💙

I don’t even know how to put into words what it feels like to be your mom. Watching you grow up has been one of the greatest honors and deepest joys of my life. You make everything brighter, louder, funnier, sweeter, and so much more meaningful. (Also, much faster! 😉)

You’ve grown into the coolest, funniest, most loving little boy with the biggest heart and the best personality. Every year I think “there’s no way I could love him more than I already do,” and every year you prove me wrong.

Sometimes I wish I could freeze time just for a little while because watching you grow is beautiful… but also the most bittersweet thing in the world. I miss every version of you while loving the one standing right in front of me.

Thank you for making me your mama, buddy. I am endlessly proud of you and endlessly grateful for every hug, every laugh, every chaotic moment, and every “mom watch this!” I get to experience with you.

Happy Birthday to the boy who made me a mom 6 years ago today. I love you past the moon. 🥺🌙💙

I’ve been pretty quiet on here for a while, and I want to share a little update. 💙

The truth is, I needed to step back and focus on my kids, my husband, and my mental health. Life got really heavy for a bit. Over the past few years, I’ve lost multiple people close to me, and if I’m being honest, I don’t handle loss or big change very well. On top of that, I was trying to be everything all at once.. run a business, be fully present at home, keep up with life, travel constantly for shoots, and miss weekend after weekend with my family. It caught up to me in ways I wasn’t prepared for.

Last wedding season, especially toward the end, really rocked me. It taught me some hard but necessary lessons.. like the importance of not saying yes to everything and everyone. I was stretched too thin, wearing too many hats, and I finally had to admit I needed a break. So I took one. I handled what I needed to handle, and I gave myself space to reset.

Anyways, wedding season is right around the corner, and it truly fills my cup in a way nothing else does. It reminds me that I’m not just a mom or a business owner, but an individual who loves what she does. And I am so ready for it. I’m starting my season next weekend and I couldn’t be more excited.

I’m opening my books for summer sessions.. and now booking weddings for 2027 but with a much clearer sense of where I want to put my time and energy. I will not be taking on as many now that I only get summers with Stetson home!

To the people who stuck by me, who knew what was going on behind the scenes and supported me without judgment, thank you. You have no idea how much that meant. It’s all been overwhelming but I’m finally feeling calmness in the chaos.

I’m here. I’m grounded. I’ve been through a lot, but I’m ready to show up again and I’m really excited for what’s ahead. Thank you for your support. I love each and every one of you. 🩷📸

Getting ready with your mom on the day of your wedding is a feeling that is truly indescribable. She brought you into this life. She raised you with all the love she has to offer.. and then one day she’s giving you to someone else and trusting them to love and take care of you the same way she has all this time. It’s one of my favorite parts of a wedding day; getting to see mom and daughter share an intimate moment before she becomes someone’s wife. 🥺

Quick little story about these two! All of us went from strangers .. to cordial / acquaintances.. to clients + being their photographer .. to friends .. and now they both feel like family. It’s been so cool to see their love story progress! I’m beyond excited for this next chapter for them and their family. C + S, You both deserve so much happiness and to be picked first ALWAYS & FOREVER! I’m so happy to be along for this journey! … guess it’s true, god does like cowboys & angels 😉🤍
