Happy New Year's Eve!!!
This is my favorite photo I made from 2025. 📸
It is about a 4.5 minute long exposure of the valley from atop Sentinel Dome in Yosemite National Park.
I am offering it as a print for a limited time! (Until end of January)
I am also throwing a discount of 15% off through the end of this weekend!

Storytime!!!
This photo is an intensely personal accomplishment for me.
The planning and effort that went into this photo cannot be explained in words. And sharing the experience with my Dad who made the hike with me made it even more special. It was not easy, this hike was EARNED by both of us. 💯
My luck on this day cannot be understated. We had limited time before we had to make the hike back to the car. The clouds and the movement I was fortunate enough to capture made everything worth it in the end. EVERYTHING. I've tried numerous long exposures similar to this one, this is by far the best looking cloud movement I've gotten from this technique. Suffice to say, I'm very happy with how it turned out.
The other element at play here is like many, many other photographers I find myself obsessed and inspired by Ansel Adams' work, especially from Yosemite. This year I find myself the proud owner of 2 of his books with a vast collection of his work, and I found myself itching to try more black and white landscapes. One of the coolest parts of this hike from this spot, is we got to visit the "Ansel Adams Tree" made famous by Ansel's photo (included for reference). The tree has since fallen and remains laying where it fell. It is covered in carvings from hikers, and it continues to be enjoyed with reverence by those who know better than to stick their knives into it. The tree is otherworldly and had no business growing as large as it did straight up and out of the rock which is what made it so impressive, and I finally got to see it for myself.
Thanks for reading all of my blah blahs, I plan to have more prints available in the future, but for now this is going to be the only one I'm offering for the month of January. If you'd like to help support my addiction to camera gear, please consider buying a print! 😂
Thank you all! See you in 2026! ✌🏻
