IGUAZU FALLS - the HIGHLIGHT⁠⁠
After a six-day stop in Villa Carlos Paz we flew to Buenos Aires again, and then the next day caught a late evening flight to near Iguazu Falls on the Argentina side.⁠⁠
The falls are just gorgeous! This is my second visit, but Mathilda's first. We are both amazed at this system of waterfalls, and with upper and lower walking trails with great viewpoints.⁠⁠
For any photo buffs here; this set of photos were all done on a 14 mm wide angle, f/1.8 lens.⁠⁠
Will post some pics from our phones later.⁠⁠⁠
LAS CATARATAS DEL IGUAZÚ: EL PUNTO CULMINANTE⁠⁠
Tras una estancia de seis días en Villa Carlos Paz, volamos de nuevo a Buenos Aires y, al día siguiente, tomamos un vuelo nocturno hacia las cercanías de las Cataratas del Iguazú, en el lado argentino.⁠⁠
¡Las cataratas son sencillamente espectaculares! Es mi segunda visita, pero la primera para Mathilda. Ambos estamos maravillados con este sistema de cascadas y con los senderos —tanto superiores como inferiores— que ofrecen magníficos miradores.⁠⁠⁠

CORDOBA CITY TOUR ⁠⁠
We took a local bus for the 30-minute ride to Cordoba. There we walked around, visted some museums, and took a city tour on an 2-level bus with an open top.⁠⁠
Cordoba was an early Spanish city and you see the architecture and churches that were built during that time.⁠⁠⁠

A TOUR of COSQUIN, CAPILLA del MONTE con LOS COCOS⁠⁠
We did another bus tour from Villa Carlos Paz. This was a smaller bus and a half-day tour with several different stops.⁠⁠
The first stop was in the village of Cosquin where they were having a big festival. The next stop was La Cumbre where we took a ski lift up a mountain top and did a short 15-minute hike to the top.⁠⁠
The last stop was Capilla del Monte with shoe-shaped rock formations with another short hike exploring the rockside.⁠⁠
We came back after dusk with no bus issues this time!⁠⁠⁠
Excursión a Cosquín, Capilla del Monte y Los Cocos⁠⁠
Realizamos otra excursión en autobús desde Villa Carlos Paz. Esta vez el autobús era más pequeño y se trataba de un recorrido de medio día con varias paradas.⁠⁠
La primera parada fue en la localidad de Cosquín, donde se estaba celebrando un gran festival. La siguiente parada fue La Cumbre; allí subimos en telesilla hasta la cima de una montaña e hicimos una caminata corta de 15 minutos hasta la cumbre.⁠⁠
La última parada fue Capilla del Monte, donde vimos formaciones rocosas con forma de zapato y realizamos otra caminata breve para explorar la zona rocosa.⁠⁠
Regresamos al anochecer, ¡y esta vez no hubo ningún problema con el autobús!⁠⁠⁠

RETURN to ARGENTINA⁠⁠
I had a five-week trip to Argentina in January 2024 for a 3-1/2 week Spanish Immersion class and 10-days of solo travel.⁠⁠
I returned again and this time I let Mathilda join me...🤣⁠⁠
Argentina is famous for steak and w**e 🍷 and we are enjoying both!⁠⁠
We have been to busy doing and seeing things for 10-days and finally posting a few photos.⁠⁠

REGRESO a ARGENTINA⁠⁠
En enero de 2024 hice un viaje de cinco semanas a Argentina para un curso intensivo de español de tres semanas y media, seguido de diez días de viaje en solitario.⁠⁠
Regresé y esta vez Mathilda me acompañó... 🤣⁠⁠
Argentina es famosa por su bistec y vino Malbec 🍷, ¡y estamos disfrutando de ambos!⁠⁠
Hemos estado muy ocupados haciendo y viendo cosas durante diez días, y por fin publico algunas fotos.⁠⁠

LASSEN VOLCANIC NATIONAL PARK ⁠⁠
On the way back from Klamath Falls, Oregon we drove through Lassen Volcanic National Park. This was just a drive through the park with a few short stops.⁠⁠
There are lots of very hot springs and volcanic activity similar to Yellowstone here. There are also lots of hiking trails to explore.⁠⁠
We camped here for three days in 2018 and would love to come back for a longer trip.⁠⁠⁠

WATERFALLS of SOUTHERN OREGON⁠⁠
We did another day of waterfall viewing within two hours of Klamath Falls, Oregon. We did short hikes of 1/2 mile to 2-miles to see these falls.⁠⁠
Lots of water and greenery in the area, but you could also see haze in the air from forest fires in the area.⁠⁠⁠
