Another selection from my shoot with the amazing from when we visited Oxbow. I am forever grateful and thankful to everyone who agrees to let me photograph them. One of the hardest things for me is asking people to come out and shoot. Especially when it’s out of town, or cold, or early, you know the fun times to shoot. Not because of any self-doubt, but because I am asking a friend to give up part of their day in exchange for some photos. Add to that being on the lenses side of the camera is so much more difficult than being on the back side. The payoff though is quite instant showing people the back of my camera and hearing the wow, and the oohs and awas. When I get home and start culling and then editing I make the same sounds they made all over again. That was a really long way to say I hope you enjoy this set of photos as much as I do @ Oxbow Nature Study Area

Next series of photos with . This shot was just a few shots latter than yesterdays photo. I move a lot when shooting left to right up and down. I like the feel of this photo it’s more centered and it has the depth I was really looking for. I also really like how the edit in this photo turned out. I only do minor touchup on my photos I try not to get to crazy. Culling this photo session has been a huge challenge we shot at 5 or 6 different locations in the 90 minutes we were at Oxbox. We had so much fun, how could we not Nataly’s personality and smile are infectious. Plus who doesn’t love making it rain with leaves @ Oxbow Nature Study Area

I had an unexpected day off on Monday and really wanted to shoot. Knowing is always eager to shoot I reached out to her to see if she was busy, luckily for me she was not. I had sent her just quick snaps of the area I wanted to shoot at. I think it’s safe to say she was underwhelmed. She still showed up though. This is the fist place we stopped, after a quick glimpse of the back of the camera, you could see my excitement transfer to Nataly.

Last photo from my birthday session with I forgot to crop these to fit instagram but really wanted to post something. Not sure which view I like better the zoomed out has a cool feel but Aly gets lost. The cropped shot she’s not so lost and the yellow really stands out. @ Truckee, California

After falling out of the tree, we headed over to the reason we came to this particular spot. This cool little cabin is frequently visited. It’s close by and it creates some awesome photo opportunities.

Fall colors come and go so quick. When said she wanted to do birthday photos I was super excited, I hadn’t made enough time to shoot this fall. The goofy sounds I make when taking these shoots hopefully will never be recorded.

My little girl .. just turned 19. ware has the has time gone It was a really fun afternoon spending her birthday with her. We found some awesome fall colors.

This is my favorite shot taken with Steven. It’s dramatic without him getting lost in the shot. When he suggested it I had my doubts, so glad I listened! It has everything he wanted really wanted trees and killer sky.

The second shot is to give an idea of what it took to make this shot, dad had to crawl along a narrow ledge just so I could through some light onto Stevens face. You can’t really tell it from theses shots more so on the second one, but it’s a long ways down. Where I am shooting from is another out cropping with loose gravel under my feet.. the things we do to get the shot.

A little earlier in the day with Steven. He really wanted to take some photos with trees in them. Driving around Tahoe can sometimes be an adventure, see somewhere to shoot but know where close to park. We found an open spot just before Bonsi and went for a hike. We got some really unique shots here.
