Hello!
You may have noticed that I haven't posted in a long while. Life these last couple of years has been very busy, so my photography has had to wait on the back burner. My personal health and my family always come first for me, so after giving these and our family business the time they need, I have very little left to give to other things, like photography clients, which breaks my heart but is true. I'm learning how to set priorities and boundaries for myself, but it's hard to say goodbye to certain things. And so, I need to let you all know that I'm not currently taking on new clients. Maybe in the next couple of years things will slow down, and I can pick it back up, but only time will tell.

If you are an old client, feel free to still reach out and see if I have time for a session for you. There will be times of the year when that is not possible, but I still love photography and will do my best to work something out for old clients and friends ❤️❤️

So this is a see you later (hopefully!), not goodbye :)

I have had the privilege to take newborn photos of every one of these kids. My wonderful sister-in-law has so graciously let me practice and hone my skills on each of her children. This handsome guy is about a month old, and his family was brave enough to travel halfway across the country for a family reunion, so we squeezed in a photo session while they were here!

We used one of my fur rugs, a couple of my baskets, and my mother-in-law's white bed spread as our backdrop, and we got some great pictures! This is the kind of work you can expect from one of my newborn lifestyle sessions. I don't mind bringing in wraps and simple props to make those faux-studio shots come to life :).

Sooo, I've been brewing over doing this for a couple of weeks...and I decided it's time to pull the trigger. I'm going to start offering low cost Fresh48 sessions with last-minute availability in Rexburg! It's a different business model than most photographers, but I want mom's to have a chance for high quality photos even if they didn't get a chance to book a photographer! I spent over a year working with a similar service before Covid hit, and I've missed it dearly.

Here's how my "First Little Moments" sessions will work:

I am setting aside 1-2 hours EVERY day (unless I'm sick or traveling with family...I have a life too ;) ). New parents can book a 10-15 minute session on my website from the comfort of their couch or bed up to 1 hour before the time slot! Then I'll come right to the hospital and take photos for them.

The session will ONLY cost $35 and includes 2 digital photo downloads. Parents will also have access to a gallery with 10+ photos where they can buy more if they want them.

Interested? Know a soon-to-be mom? My first 10 sessions booked will get an extra photo download (3 instead of 2)!!!

Happy Summer!!

I've been very quiet on social media the last few months. Sorry!

But I'm still here, and happy to capture sweet moments of your families and newborns!

I did the newborn photos for this little guy's brother, and now him. So fun to watch them grow! This session was done in a studio style, but at the family's home. I think they turned out great!

Sorry I've been very MIA for the last several months!

My husband and I started an Etsy business last year and it took off around the holidays and hasn't let up much as customers prepare for Easter. Needless to say, the business has sapped up my time and taken over my studio space!

But, after Easter, I want to work back into doing a few sessions a month because I love and miss it; however, it will have to look a little different.

I'm going to start offering in-home newborn photography (lifestyle and limited studio styles) and outdoor family portraits. This means if you book a session with me, I will bring everything we need for the session to you! There are also several small studio spaces for rent in Idaho Falls and Rexburg that we can book for your session if you don't want to clean your house ;).

What does this mean?

My pricing will go up slightly to accommodate travel costs and my session options may change a little, but you can still get great photos, just now it's in the comfort of your home!

You'll see the changes updated on my website in the next couple of weeks!

Hanging out with a bunch of band nerds today :). (They are currently doing chants and waves in the stands as they wait for the awards ceremony to start, hahaha!!)

I love coming out every year and supporting the band I gave 2 years to before I became a mom. I still treasure those years and my memories of that time dearly! The students I taught are growing up and graduating and I hope they find success in their lives. This is just a chapter in my life. One day, I'll get to do more then just take pictures for the band ;).

One of my original motivations for learning how to do newborn photography was my desire to take beautiful photos of my family. I never let family pay me for photos because I love serving them. It's really rewarding for me and allows me to practice without worrying about fulfilling a contract. So, behold, my handsome nephew who got to model three new studio props :)

The best part was having my daughter get to watch and help. She handed me a teddy bear while doing the set in green and it was the PERFECT addition to complete the photo!
