✨Repost from about ‘Photobook II: From Project to Press’!
If you have work you want to make into a photobook, CPW has a spring class that will clarify and launch your vision, conceptually and practically. “Photobook II: From Project to Press,” taught by photographer Adrianna Ault, is a small, hands-on, 10-week course designed to transform your developed body of work into a maquette.

In this class, students will learn how to push their work from a project to a visual narrative by making a maquette. Work will be critiqued in class in order to build new skills, including pairing and sequencing a narrative, creating a corresponding design and layout, and preparing files for a publisher or press. You will experiment with papers, cover materials, and binding types. Class time will be supplemented with guest speakers and a publisher visit. In the last three weeks, students will learn about the CPW printing press and apply their new knowledge to making a maquette. Engaging discourse, project growth, and increasing working knowledge of the photo book are all outcomes of “Photobook II: From Project to Press”
