We teach a simple, step-by-step shooting + editing system
So your photos are sharp, bright, and consistent. MEET THE TWINS:

We are Erin and Emily! We are identical twins and were born just 10 minutes apart. When we were born, the only difference was the bump on Erin’s ear. To this day, we still look super identical and people have a hard time telling us apart. The only difference, besides the bum

p on Erin’s ear, is that Emily doesn’t have her ears pierced! We grew up together in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. At an early age, we got involved in sports and loved working out. We then went to college to be science teachers and got jobs back in our hometown of Rice Lake. We have also found ourselves coaching basketball, track, and cross country. Eventually, we found that we wanted something more to do in the summer months, to hang out more, and use our creativity. This led us into E-squared Photography and where we are today! We spent a lot of time taking photos of our own kids, but realized we wanted to do more with trying to capture the little moments for others in our lives. We have enjoyed meeting new people and spending time in their most memorable moments. We fell in love with finding the creativity in shots and seeing the reactions of our friends who receive their galleries. FUN FACTS: ERIN

-I always have to add hot sauce or red peppers to spice up my meals.
-I love getting up early in the morning and then taking a mid-morning nap.
-I cry during commercials, talk shows, reality TV shows, and pretty much anything.
-I change into sweats within 20 minutes of being home most of the time.
-I have been eating peanut butter and honey toast for breakfast, every single day since I met my husband.
-I love organizing my closet when I get bored.
-I know almost any 90’s country song. Especially if it is by George Strait or Alan Jackson. FUN FACTS: EMILY
-I have a dangerous obsession with pizza and could eat it seven days a week.
-You will find me laughing hard on the couch at the show Super Store and Impractical Jokers.
-I don’t have my ears pierced because I don’t enjoy shopping for jewelry.
-My dream would be to be paid to travel with my family.
-Casa Mexicana (a local Mexican restaurant) is a weekly tradition in my household.
-Someday, I hope I secretly get mistaken for Carrie Underwood.

Let’s talk about the little meter at the bottom of your camera screen that everyone ignores until they’re panic-clicking buttons mid-session. 😅

The exposure meter is not there to ruin your life.
It’s actually one of the BEST tools for understanding manual mode.

Because instead of randomly changing settings and hoping for the best, your meter helps you understand:
📸 Is your image too bright?
📸 Too dark?
📸 Properly exposed?

And once you understand how to READ that meter alongside ISO, aperture, and shutter speed… everything starts making so much more sense.

That’s when manual mode stops feeling chaotic and starts feeling intentional. 👏

Inside our FREE LIVE Manual Mode Training, we’re breaking all of this down step-by-step in a beginner-friendly way that actually clicks.

📅 June 10 or June 11
⏰ 7 PM CST

No fluff. No overwhelming camera jargon.
Just simple education that helps you feel confident behind the camera.

Most photographers are focused on camera settings.

But sometimes the biggest improvements happen before you ever pick up your camera.

There's one question we ask every client before a session that completely changes how we approach locations, lighting, and the overall client experience.

And no, it's not "What location do you want?" 😏

We're sharing it in this week's newsletter.

Comment NEWSLETTER below and we'll send it over.

If your camera menu makes you want to throw your camera into traffic sometimes… welcome. 😅

Manual mode can feel SO overwhelming when no one explains what anything actually means.

ISO.
Shutter speed.
Aperture.
Tiny little numbers controlling your entire emotional state before a session. 😂

That’s exactly why we’re hosting this FREE LIVE Manual Mode Training on June 10 or 11 at 7 PM CST.

We’re breaking down:
📸 How to shoot in manual mode
📸 How to get sharp, bright images
📸 What settings to use and WHY
📸 How to stop spiraling mid-session

Simple. Step-by-step. Beginner friendly.

Photography got a lot less frustrating when we stopped asking:

“What settings should I use?”

…and started asking:

“What is my camera trying to DO here?” 👏

Because once you understand:
📸 ISO = brightness
📸 Aperture = depth of field
📸 Shutter speed = motion

Everything starts clicking together.

No more panic-adjusting settings every 3 seconds.
No more hoping the photo turns out.
No more feeling like everyone else magically “gets it” except you.

That’s exactly what we’re teaching inside our FREE LIVE Manual Mode Training happening June 10 or 11 at 7 PM CST.

Simple. Practical. Beginner-friendly.

You stop guessing.
You stop panicking mid-session.
And you finally start feeling confident behind the camera.

If you’ve ever sat in the parking lot before a session changing your settings over and over hoping something magically clicks…

We get it 😅

We used to do the exact same thing.

One session looked amazing.
The next session looked completely different.

Not because we were bad photographers.

We were just guessing.

And honestly? Most photographers are trying to piece together random YouTube videos and hoping it eventually makes sense.

That’s why we’re hosting a FREE LIVE Manual Mode training all geared toward natural light portrait photography!

We’re walking through:
📸 ISO
📸 Aperture
📸 Shutter speed
📸 How settings actually work TOGETHER
📸 How to stop feeling so inconsistent

And yes… you can ask questions live.

No overwhelming tech talk.
No pretending you should already know this.
Just simple, practical teaching that actually helps things click.

You are not behind. You just need a plan.

Manual mode feels confusing until someone finally explains it in normal human language.

ISO. Aperture. Shutter speed.
They all work TOGETHER. And once it clicks? Photography gets a whole lot less stressful.

And if manual mode still feels a little chaotic, we’re teaching a LIVE Manual Mode Training on June 10 or 11 at 7 PM CST where we walk through all of this step-by-step.

We’ll help you stop guessing and start understanding WHY your photos look the way they do 👏

Can we normalize the fact that almost EVERY beginner photographer does these things? 😅

Because somewhere along the way, so many photographers started believing that struggling means they’re failing.

It doesn’t.

Googling settings before sessions?
Normal.

Feeling awkward directing clients?
Normal.

Editing forever because you’re trying to “fix it later”?
Also normal.

And comparing yourself to photographers who have been doing this for 10 years while you’re still learning? Yeah… we’ve been there too.

None of these things mean you’re not talented.
None of these things mean you can’t become a great photographer.

Most of the time?

It just means you haven’t learned photography in a simple, structured way YET.

Because confidence does not come from memorizing random tips.

Confidence comes from understanding what you’re doing.

And when photography finally makes sense, confidence follows. 📸

So tell us 👇
Which one resonates with you the MOST right now?

And if you’re ready to stop guessing and start building real confidence behind the camera, comment READY and we’ll send you some free resources to help you get started 💛

If you’ve ever taken a photo and thought…

“I’ll just fix it in editing” 😅

…and then spent way too long moving sliders trying to make it look right…

Yeah. We’ve been there.

Here’s the truth no one really explains clearly:

Editing enhances a good photo. It does NOT fix bad light.
If your photos feel inconsistent…
If your skin tones are all over the place…
If editing feels like a full rescue mission every time…
It’s probably not your presets.
It’s your light.

In this video, we break down:

What bad light actually looks like
What good light looks like (and how to find it)
And why this one shift makes editing SO much easier

Your camera isn’t broken.
You just need a plan.

The goal is not getting lucky with one good image.
The goal is knowing how to do it again.

Because one good photo by accident feels exciting.

But you know what feels even better?

Walking into a session knowing you can create good photos on purpose.

Not crossing your fingers.
Not panic-changing settings after every shot.
Not leaving a session wondering if anything turned out.

Just confidence. Clarity. A repeatable process.

And honestly? That kind of confidence usually comes from understanding the fundamentals, not chasing random tips on the internet at midnight. (We’ve all been there 😅)

Practice matters.
Understanding matters more.

You are closer than you think ❤️

And if you want help simplifying lighting, settings, and creating more consistent photos…
