Sometimes great shots are found in simplicity. Yes, there are shots where more is more, but this moment didn't need a lot to show off Delaney.

When I'm planning out your shoot, I'll think about which spots we're going to use when you're wearing which outfits. But I always stay open to seeing an opportunity that wasn't planned. Here, I noticed a great spot where the setting sun was coming through the trees. So we took about 2 minutes to get a few unplanned shots, and it paid off!

Sometimes the location can play a big role in telling my client's story. With the right outfits, props, and lighting, we could have done Brayden's pictures anywhere, but I knew this location would be the perfect backdrop.

It's funny how the right location can actually take some pressure off the other factors. Make sure you find a photographer who understands what is most important for YOUR shoot and your story!

Cars--working on them, driving them, sitting in them, taking pictures of them. Brayden's a car guy. And his great uncle is, too. In fact, he also collects cars. So we headed to the outskirts of Lubbock to shoot with Uncle Ronnie's car collection. It was magic!

Sometimes, it's the location that helps tell your story. Sometimes, it's outfits. Sometimes, it's props. My job is to put together the shoot FOR YOU that tells YOUR unique story. The result? Pictures that aren't like everyone else's and an experience that's fun and comfortable because it's your world.

The upside of a rainstorm blowing in? Big beautiful skies! This was my first time shooting on a golf course, and I'm hooked. Especially with the dramatic skies that showed up. The laid back vibe of the location and posing was such a great fit for Jake. And bonus--we got to cruise around in a golf cart!

This kind of shoot, it's not for everybody! But for those of you who are into it, it really is like falling through the looking glass.

Warrior Queen 1 (there's a Warrior Queen 2 in the works, totally different vibe!) Having a creative vision and bringing it to life, and playing with it, that drives me. Mara really settled into her character easily and brought the grace, strength, and beauty it called for. Just an amazing experience all the way around!

Jo wanted beachy and sunny for her sweet 16 shoot, and she knew the perfect place. We started with beach volleyball, then ethereal, then boho.

Knowing what you want can make or break your shoot. Some clients have that before we meet, some don't. But by the time we finish talking it through, we always have it!
