Whelp. Fuzzy, Boone and I are stuck in Casper, WY for another week while our pickup is in the shop.

So with that being said, I have availability for some Black Background Portrait sessions while I’m here to help pay for the repairs (or for buying a new one 😅)

All sessions must take place at the Revived Spirits facility in Casper, since I have limited travel abilities.

My BBG sessions include five fully edited images of your horse in an online gallery with the ability to download the files, as well as a framed 11x14 photo of your choice from your horse’s session!

Black background portraits are probably one of my favorite ways to do this. When you take away all the distractions and let the horse be the sole focus, pose them in a way to give them a fine art feel, you get photos that feel timeless and intentional.

And then instead of that memory just living on your phone, you can turn it into something you actually want hanging in your home.

Something beautiful, but also something that means something to you.

Because if your horse is important enough to have a million pictures of on your phone, I think they’re important enough to have a spot on your wall, too.

I think the horses we love deserve to be more than just another photo in the camera roll, and this is my favorite way to help preserve them and the memories. 🤍

It’s the little moments for me.

Like this one. Your horse messing with your hat, you laughing, giving them a scratch, or just the way you naturally interact with each other.

Those are the things I want to capture too.

Those little moments are a pretty good glimpse into your relationship with your horse. They’re the things you do all the time that might not seem like a big deal in the moment, but are part of the memories and the bond you have with them.

The posed photos are great, but honestly, sometimes the in-between ones are my favorites. 🤍

Which one could you visualize hanging in your home?

I love the warmth and homeyness that the colored version brings, but the B&W would be perfect for cooling down your space or for a more modern look!

They’re both stunning in their own ways!

Color or B&W? Comment which one are you picking!

I took this last fall on a rainy day while the horses were running around, bucking, kicking, just being wild and gambling with the emergency vet bill fund. And if you’ve ever owned a grey, you already know… they’ll find the mud every single time.

The color version has been in the print shop for a bit, but I finally tried it in black and white and I can’t stop coming back to it. It feels like the story comes through stronger, like you can feel the moment a little more. And the way his mane is flying just adds that extra bit of attitude and emotion that pulls you right in.

But I still love the pop of color you get from the landscape in the color version. You can also get a better sense of his love for rain and mud!
